M.T. Eyes sounds familiar. It's filled with that 80s sound, and it's really catchy. It reminds me of Journey in many ways. The others I couldn't really get into. Jorn doesn't do anything for me no matter how many times I try.

Yeah, the M T Eyes is one of those lost classics. It's ok, nothing great tbh.

The Jorn is ok for what it is but won't be hurrying to play it again. I liked tha Hotal California cover. Gave it more of that satanic feel it was accused of having in the first place.

I thought the cover was alright. What's with the angry faces he makes in all of his videos?  :lol

drifting sun - safe asylum: this didn't do much for me and i've already forgotten what it sounds like
deftones - gore: i was expecting to hate this but this is actually pretty solid. not like one of the best things i've found but i may check it out, or i may just check out white pony since i've known about it for ages lol
lee abraham - the seasons turn: this is... fine, but doesn't really do much for me. beautiful album cover tho.

vespero - lique mekwas: okay but not really my things, tbh i forgot what this sounds liek already
avantasia - ghostlights: also not my thing, also it sounds like they have a lot of better albums anyways so ehh
slice the cake - odyssey to the west: this is fine but, not really like doing a ton for me? it's alright enough on first listen. death metal continues to not really be my thing. some alright stuff here though, i might look into it further; oh wait this is mp3 only, crap  :lol

Odyssey To The West is a toughie, the deathcore is still very present and it's not something I'm all that used to. However they've becoming much more diverse on this album and the vocals are just something I've gotten used to now. The deathcore vocals aren't layered with countless blastbeats or anything, it's pretty proggy throughout.

And Gareth's one hell of a narrator, I always listen to it with the pdf file of the story opened and it's become a real experience instead of an album. Probably my #3 AOTY right now.

Hey look it's King Diamond trying to be prog

people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

Had a few days off, so I ended up covering quite a bit of ground. That new Riverside album is borderline perfect. Album with all the sculptures and the blue background is Yeasayer's Amen + Goodbye and the last one with the owl is My Morning Jacket's Z.

Hire me. I'm talentless but malleable.

Trying the no dialogue version for the first time ever.
I have to say, it made this album much better and I actually liked it a lot.
