oh yeah i listened to this earlier and didn't thread-post.

this is really not that dissimilar from the previous album, there was a weird stop-start track near the end tho
but yeah solid atmosphere and solid metal stuff

this is like, the same song 8 times
but it's a nice sound. i don't mind it. it's a really warm, but heavy sound, it's like the drone metal version of alcest
both jesu albums i got are kind of like that, a nice sound but probably doesn't do enough with it.

found this okay but kind of bland, didn't really like the singer, turned it off halfway through

ehh. i liked some of this (second, fifth, seventh tracks) but a good number of the rest bored me, i guess i'm just beyond primarily guitar-focused music like this now. the bass and drums felt like they barely did anything all album long. the various style additions were pretty alright tho

Oh man, I wished I could get into James Blake, his stuff sounds up my alley in theory, but I don't really dig his style  :-\

That's fair, O Vurdon, Entre 2 Mundos and EvilFunk are easily the best songs on the album IMO, O Vurdon being the best.

Listened to this yesterday night, because the Leprous Survivor prompted me to. Forgot there's actually quite some awesome stuff on it. I don't listen to this nearly as often, but the style is quite distinctive - most like Tall Poppy Syndrome. Also I found Einar's screams to actually be better than the ones he does on The Congregation. Fans of Leprous' latest two albums will find not much of interest here to be honest, but I really enjoyed my listen.
Hey dude slow the fuck down so we can finish together at the same time.

The one song I heard from it in the championship roulette I thought was just alright.

Will I get through both this and St. Anger today for survivor purposes? Maybe. I actually think this one is fun, but definitely their weakest.

Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Don't know which one you got, but the opener (Hypnos) is probably the one I'd go with, my #2 song off the album and probably the most accessible, has a lot of cool ideas in under 5 minutes so it stays interesting too.

It's funny, Mandroid seems to be everything I do like about Coheed and Cambria minus everything I dislike, they're a bit more metal too and I feel it works better for that style, to my tastes.

Lots of great stuff on FOTD.

Definitely liking it better the more I listen to it. Who knows, it may eventually pass No Prayer for me. It definitely has the two best songs on either album. Judas Be My Guide is another really good one. Be Quick or Be Dead, Wasting Love and The Fugitive are solid. And I like Fear Is the Key more and more—I just wish it was a bit more compact.

We got Iron Hands. To me, definitely didn't stand up to most of Coheed's stuff. Coheed does a lot of great work with dynamics and anthemic choruses that I really enjoy.

*sigh* Here we go, for the sake of the survivor. I think this is only the second time I've listened to this. First listen was just so... you know... that I never picked it up again. I'm listening to the rehearsal DVD version right now so that at least the production is halfway decent. I think that's my only chance of getting into this one in any way.

I'm only on the second track and it's rather frustrating. Because it's not horrible, but just really not well executed. They get going on a good idea, then they muck it up or just generally play poorly. And the songs are too long for the number of ideas that are in them. I do appreciate having the rehearsal version because at least Lars has a normal drum sound. The audio quality still isn't great, and James and Kirk are still muddy, but at least it's better than the album.

I really like St Anger to be honest.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.
