Now or Never and Lords of Black were #1 and #3 for me respectively; Noveria = Symphony-X.  Nightmare was 1/2 killer and 1/2 filler - but Maggy Luyten makes up for the 'filler'.

What did you think of the Theory album Paul?   I thought after a couple of good tracks at the start it was pretty awful.

I d agree with that though I didn't think awful, just average. I wasn't paying full attention tbh as I was cooking (being a modern man and all 😀)

First couple of tracks got me excited though.

I've been meaning to try that Cellador. Heard a track from it that sounded good. I struggle to get through power metal albums these days - it's all so samey. We're back at Frontiers again!

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
