To those who remember my post from a few days ago, we talked about it today and we're good again. She was really tired last week and she felt let down because she came to me expecting to joke around with me about what was said but instead I took it a completely different direction and made it serious when she just wanted to joke around. I felt bad, but we worked it out. I made the morning better by stopping and getting coffee and donuts before we opened.

She is a clinical nurse educator for B Braun. B Braun is a large medical company so when they sell new catheters or chemotherapy pumps to hospitals she travels and trains the nurses how to use them.

Her job is pretty incredible, she flies business class everywhere, premium car rentals, gets to keep all her hotel and amex points. $100 a day for booze and food and she makes six figures while often times working only 3 hours a day. She also gets to visit nice places sometimes, she is going to Beverly Hills today but last week she was in Flint MI.

The downside is the travel. I traveled with her for a few weeks while off work and it does get old, fast. She is gone almost every week.

My colleague used to be a CRA for a large CRO and under that job she was never not in the air travelling. I think she said she set some weird record for frequent flyer miles in a year...some absurdly large number in the 5-digits or more. She told me it was utterly insane, the amount of time she spent flying. So much so that now, when offered the choice of a 2-hour flight or an 8-hour drive, she'll opt to drive.

I do my best to support brick and mortar stores whenever I can, especially if it isn't a chain and is part of a community.

I have a 3D printer waiting for me on my doorstep that can accept g-code with an included micro-SD card. The problem is, my laptop only has a standard SD card slot. I went to a local camera shop on my lunch break to see if they had an adapter. They did, but the only ones they had came with either a 16GB or 32GB micro-SD card as well. I didn't mind as I figured I could just put it in my phone. I go to check out, and the guy said "That'll be $49.99". Stopped me in my tracks. I asked if it was correct and was told it was. I left without purchasing it. I got back to my desk and found the exact same one for $13.99 on Amazon Prime.

So tonight I had a girl smile at me at 2 different red lights on my way home. Further down the road, I got in front of her. At the next light I noticed she had her turn signal on to turn right... So nudged over, she pulled up beside me, blew me a kiss and waved, and turned. Made my day.. My night... My week so far. It's amazing how small things can do that.

That obviously doesn't happen to me - but I have no self esteem at all so If it did - i'd just dismiss it as a joke.

If someone really nice looking was showing any interest in me - i'd 100% just assume they were being paid to do it or it was for a dare.

Even before I had a girlfriend etc, I never got that kind of attention. Hell, it took me more than a year to believe my then girlfriend, now wife was actually truly interested in me (obviously she was). My insecurity knows NO bounds.

Well that's good. At least your heart rate isn't dictated by means of metric modulation, polyrhythms, or polymeter.
