True that, but then again I keep voting for CotD while everyone else seems to love it.

22 Acacia Avenue.

Run To The Hills may be overplayed but it's still a great tune.
Must've been Kwyji sending all the wrong songs.   ;D

I'm wondering why Run To The Hills is being voted when he still have 22 Acacia Avenue and The Prisoner there.

My thoughts exactly..  :)

Maybe it's been played to death, but for me it's still a better song than those other two.

Number 22 for me.

Don't quite get the 22 votes myself.

Neither do I! As I said last time, I think it's the second best song on the album. What on this album besides Hallowed is better than 22 Acacia Avenue? It's an awesome song!

Cmon, isn't anything surprising is it? 22 Acacia Avenue never was one of the most liked songs on the album.

I mean RTTH and TNOTB were always the hits and HBTN is obviously the best one, but I always thought that 22 was kind of a secret favorite. Kind of like Still Life on PoM. It definitely is for me.

Children of the Damned. It's one of the best Maiden songs for me, Top 5 for sure. Makes the fact it's only my second favourite from this album even more impressive.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Totally agree with Still Life on PoM as a sleeper favourite, though I couldn't bring myself to vote off a "signature" Maiden tune just yet.  :D

HOly crap.  New to this, and absolutely stunned to see Total Eclipse already on the heap.   It is easily in my top five Maiden songs of all time, and perhaps even number one.

Ah me.

Next out for me is The Prisoner.

Wow, I've never seen anyone say this before. Interesting.

It's a very good song, no question, but IMO everything on this album except Gangland is at least a very good song.

Also never seen anyone list Children of the Damned this high, either. It's third on the album for me behind Hallowed and 22.

Actually Children of the Damned and Hallowed Be Thy Name are miles ahead of the rest of the album for me. For me too, CotD is a top 5 Maiden song, maybe even third, behind Hallowed and Paschendale.

^ I'd be of this school of thought too. I'm normally not big into rankings and tiers, but this album for me breaks down into:
Top Tier: Hallowed, Children
Bottom Tier: Invaders, Gangland

with everything else somewhere in the middle. Not that any of the middle ones are bad, and some even have iconic status (NotB, RttH), but the top and bottom ones stand out pretty clearly to me.

Not that people don't like it or not, just most (when it comes to TNOTB) prefer these three tracks you mentioned and Children of the Damned over it.

Given that Run to the Hills currently has more votes than any track besides 22, I'm not sure (judging from this small sample size) that it is as preferred as you are suggesting. At least The Prisoner is pretty clearly preferred over Run to the Hills among this voting population.

I know I've lost this little battle, but I really don't get it. 22 Acacia Avenue is a really well-constructed song. Much more so than Run to the Hills. It's also at least the second-most progressive song on this album, which I would have thought might help it with this audience. But oh well.

I think it depends on how you define "the fanbase." On the MaidenFans forum, I think 22 is pretty popular and RttH is not that highly esteemed. So that would be the devoted fanbase. Maybe among everyone who goes to their concerts, RttH is more popular.
