We violate them every year.

Come on now, we split our games this season.

Yep, and that win over the Pats in week 16 helped the Broncos get home field, and ultimately the Super Bowl, so a big thanks to the Jets from this Broncos fan! :tup :tup

As for the Broncos Mount Rushmore, the first three are easy:

Elway, Sharpe and Terrell Davis.

The 4th is a toss-up between Peyton, Atwater and Von Miller.  You almost have to have one from their current run (look at their record the last four years), so either Peyton or Miller.  Close call.

The Jets weren't the reason. We also had the Philly game and the Dolphins.

Agree on the Jets love!

I don't think I can put Peyton there, as I really feel that a 'Mt Rushmore' list deserves to have players that were career players for that team - or at least the height of their career.  Sure, 2013 was Peyton's career year, but he'll always be known as a Colt first, Bronco second.  I debated Atwater, but leaned towards Smith instead.  3-4 more years, and I'm sure Miller will be the natural #4 choice - all-time leader in pretty much every receiving measurement.

Packers: You could go name more in any of their three eras (as I put them):
Lambeau Years (20s-40s): Lambeau, Hudson, Canadeo, McNally
The Lombardi Renaissance (60s): Lombardi, Starr, Nitschke, Kramer (or Hornung, or Wood, or....)
Modern Era (90s-present): Favre, White, Rodgers, Woodson (I almost put Ron Wolf as one)
I don’t know what to put here anymore

Makes sense, regarding Peyton being thought of as a Colt more than a Bronco.

I was always a big Rod Smith fan, so love for him is always encouraged by me. :P

So last night I flew into Denver International Airport, I was waiting outside a gate for my coworker arriving from Los Angeles.  As his flight arrives, the first person off gets a police escort and a bunch of people following him and taking pictures.  Turns out it was Von Miller returning to Denver from the Grammys in LA.  I got a picture of him waiting for his luggage  :lol

In the 70's they were sold out or close to from mid 70's on. The 80's were good as well until Flutie left and the team got bad.  Then in the 90'same it wasn't until Bill Parcells came in and every game since he came in has been sold out.

The only option fans have to show their displeasure to how a team is being run is not to go.  It worked here in N.E.  It's a wake up call to owners.

I did a book report in elementary school (for our non-US readers, that's Kindergarten through fifth grade, or about 5 years old to about 11 years old; I'm now 48) on Jim Plunkett and Randy Vataha.   Not quite Manning and Harrison or Montana and Rice, but there you go.

I've been a non-wavering NE fan through a lot of losing seasons since I was a tot.  My dad took me to my first game in 1976 at Schaefer Stadium when I was 14.  I remember having a great time despite the final score:

Chap was awesome and would be in my 2nd tier for the Broncos Mount Rushmore.  :coolio

Speaking of the Broncos, next season their home games are against:

• Chargers
• Chiefs
• Raiders
• Colts
• Texans
• Falcons
• Panthers
• Patriots

Which leads to the question: who will they host on that Thursday night game in week 1?

I'd be surprised if they do a divisional game; the Colts game won't have the same allure once Peyton retires; neither the Falcons nor the Texans are marquee enough for opening night.

Which leaves the Patriots or Panthers.  I'd be surprised if they do Broncos/Patriots that early in the season, so I think the odds are in favor of a rematch between the Broncos and Panthers.

Wow, why is everyone writing off RGIII, saying he won't have another job in the NFL? He'll compete and play for another team. He is still liked across the league, despite how the Redskins treated him. Still makes me mad how Coach Gruen treated him in the media

From what I read he became a cancer in the locker room and when the other players back another QB that questions his leadership with any team.

Kev, couldn't agree any more.   Broncos/Pats with be in the November sweeps. It will be the Panthers opening night.

Well, he did act like quite the drama queen for a while there in Washington, and then there is the big question of whether he can still be a good QB or not.  His knee was seemingly never the same after 2012 and that appeared to wreck his confidence.  An RG3 who cannot use his legs to make plays is not the RG3 we know, and if he becomes just a pocket passer, the jury is still out as to whether he can pull that off.  He needs to go somewhere with a coach who believes in him 100% and can build his confidence back up.

Kev, couldn't agree any more.   Broncos/Pats with be in the November sweeps. It will be the Panthers opening night.

That'd be great. I'd love to see our defense make Cam Newton look like a chump again to start off the season. :tup :tup

Supposedly RGIII handled this final season like a true professional. It shows signs of maturity and combining that with his immense talent and a coaching staff that will use him properly is a recipe for success.

As for the second point, it has to be the Panthers. It's not often that a Super Bowl rematch can happen on opening night. The league would be foolish to pass up the opportunity just for the Patriots even if that game is prime time material. Pats/Broncos isn't as interesting if Peyton retires anyway.

RGIII needs to calm down and go somewhere where he can feel appreciated and needed but not tolerate the drama. Idk where that is right now.
