Not for nothing, but you never see last year's Super Bowl winner saying "we're moving!"

I tend to think that is the ultimate example of incompetent, out-of-touch leadership.

I dont understand why they want to go to LA.  It seems to me, they missed that opportunity to be LA's team last year.  LA hadn't been known to support one team, now they are going to support two?  I guess we will see, but I'd image Las Vegas would have been a better destination (other than staying in San Diego).

Because they can't get a new stadium in San Diego. It's all about the dollar.

Meanwhile, they'll be playing in a stadium that holds 27,000 people for two years.

Hopefully the owners don't approve the relocation. One look at the Ram's bleachers tells you that LA doesn't need 2 teams.

But it's all about money, and it seems that the bulk of the money is the television deals....

I was just about to ask how this got approved. There is no way to spin that this is a good thing for the NFL.

The league wants 2 teams for the new stadium.   It's going to be a leviathan.

Very true. There have been rumblings about their poor leadership for many years. I remember the 2004 draft when Eli Manning basically told them to go to hell. Then again in this past year's draft how Joey Bosa was handled. The team's management and ownership seem to be out to lunch.

These games are tough to pick, except one. I suppose I should have begun this contest by guessing scores for each game and then we could have had a winner for each week based on closest points, but oh well.

Falcons
Patriots
Chiefs
Packers

Yes I'm using reverse psychology with the Chiefs pick 😛.

The Jan 1 game I went to had a good crowd for a four win team that got blown out on the last day of the season.  Average is 83K.  A better team would produce even higher numbers.

And the populace saying enough is enough with regards to these ballot initiatives to raise billions of dollars every few years for a new stadium, when the proclaim the current one is outdated before the paint seems to have completely dried.

Having lived in North Central Ohio my entire life (though I'm not a fan of the team), I couldn't agree with this more. I've recently heard rumors that the Raiders are talking about going to San Diego thinking that they can get a deal done there for a new stadium where the Bolts couldn't. And then I read an article last week about a legal dispute between the 49'ers and the city that they're currently saddled up with. It can't be easy to be a football fan in Cali these days.

Can't disagree with that.  The owners are evil.

As some of you know, I'm not a "twitter guy" by any stretch (I think it's one of the four signs of the apocalypse) but I love how other teams went on a nice marketing jag yesterday ragging on the new Chargers logo, to the point that finally, the Chargers tweeted something like "This is NOT our new logo, it was just a temporary one for marketing purposes."

Which also got ridiculed.  :)

In the age of social media, moving a bad organization to LA is not going to solve all - or maybe even ANY - of its problems.

The bigger joke was that it was a cross between the LA Dodgers and Lightning logos.

Just thinking ahead here: The Raiders will play the Chargers in the city of Carson, a gang town, and the stadium's capacity is only 27K.  That's gonna go over well!  :lol  Better call out the National Guard for that one!

True, but Rodgers, Cobb and Adams did pretty well without him against NY in the 2nd half of that game.

Dallas Cowboys
Seattle Seahawks
Pittsburgh Steelers
New England Patriots

My picks are the home teams.

ATL
KC

Not surprised.  Most of Missouri is getting hit with freezing rain for the next 44 hours.
