I think music video's can really add something to a song, it gives you something to look at while listening and helps with creating the atmosphere. My favourtie example of this is Steven Wilson's The Raven That Refused to Sing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4XevlloPY4 The video itself is really beautiful, great style and it really adds to the music too. That part where the old man shakes the box with the raven always gets me.

Another one of my favourites is Restless by Leprous: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=986iAyQpr1U Altough I have absolutely no idea what they are trying to say with this video it fits the song somehow.  :metal

So what are some of your favourite music videos? Do you think they add something or is it better to just focus on the music?

Some great video's! I think I like Peter Gabriels video's more than his music, I can never get in to that synthesizer and high pitch voice thing. :p
