Also, who's playing guitar on Another Day?
I thought I already agreed I would be doing it?

I thought so too! I think DarkLord_Lalinc just forgot to add you to the list :p Though I see Elite also wants to, perhaps you can both do a part?

I also stated that I can't do it until at least next week, so I don't think it would be a good idea, although recording just a small part wouldn't be too much trouble I think.

Will 4:3 be an issue?

I don't think so, maybe it's better in that format for youtube uploading.

Reminds me what format you want the recording in… Do you want it as an MP3? FLAC? What?  The reason I ask is that once I do get a recorded, and I have no idea when I'm going to, hopefully within the next two weeks… I do have audacity and I can use that to splice all my takes together into one track.

And
@Dark Lord: May I please your hostage? ;)
Because hostages love you
I've been drinking beer since I was 18 and dabbled since I was 16. I have at least 500 beer bottles in my collection and love the fancy shit though my wallet doesn't. I'll drink liquor not even five times a year including shots or mixed drinks. Jack Daniels and Coke is an easy go-to for me. Very smooth nads candy sweet.

I'm uploading the video and .wav file right now. I'm a bit worried about the video and sound quality, I'll ask if I can borrow a camera if it's too low. I'll also glady rerecord if your not happy with it, just let me know :azn:

By the way, you are going to cut the parts of the video where in I'm not playing anything right  :lol

Cool, though I would like to rerecord it I am not completely happy with it, but you can at least see if the sound quality is good enough

Alright home, just checked it out! I think that with a little bit of tweaking and EQ the piano can sound just fine. If you want to re-record it I don't have any problem, there's plenty of time. Thank you!  :D

Just wanted to let you guys know, I'm working on it! I've been practising the solo, which is a bitch! Some crazy fast parts in there. I think I'm going to make some small changes to make it easier for me, I hope that's okay. Sextuplets in 138 ain't easy. :lol

Just a curious question, what tools do you use? Do you use separate software for the sound and the video or one that can handle both?

If you'd like another guest keyboard player, I could help out! Although it seems like you've got enough keyboards already.

Well, I've got a Midi keyboard so I have to use a DAW to get sound ( I used Ignite). Then I just set stereo mixer as standard recording device and used the camera on my laptop to film, and since stereo mixer is set as recording device it also records the sound coming from the DAW.

Hey, how is everyone doing with their part? I rerecorded the piano part and filmed it with my phone which has a waaay better camera.

I have been practicing, but have not had a chance to record it. I so odd to see if I can get into my wife's work and use their system. At the very least, I can see if I can borrow a microphone that I can hook into my computer

I can play trumpet. I play guitar as well, but Dream Theater's music is still out of my league. Either way, I'd love to contribute to this.
Perhaps you should ask bosk to reverse the "e" and "a" in the second half of your user name.

Guys, I'm sorry but I don't think I can do this.
  My camera's awful
  My recording setup sucks
I keep messing up on the most basic of parts
  I don't have stage presence
I procrastinate recording all the time
  I'm terrified of cameras

Maybe I can return to this later on but for now I'd like to drop out of this project.

Come on you can do it! Hey, my camera is awful too and I really don't have stage presence. It's fine if you just play the part, and you'll be getting more comfortable with camera's over time.

I guess so. I did write that after a really frustrating & unsuccessful recording session (made worse by me continually procrastinating it), so it may have just been blind self-disappointment. Idk, I'll keep trying but I can't promise I'll succeed.

I've begun making some test recordings, the problem has been finding time. Ideally, I want to record on the weekend because then the sun is still up and the lighting will be much better.
Also, the solo is a bitch. :lol So that will require a couple of takes.
