I would have had the two consolation songs winning and Abandoned in place of Memento Mori... now I'm curious to see how Ghost Opera will go, and how far I will be able to push my favorite bonus song from them, Season's End.
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

Ghost Opera Survivor Results (also added to the second post):

1. The Human Stain
2. Season's End

3. Ghost Opera
4. The Pendulous Fall

5. EdenEcho
6. Rule the World
7. Love You to Death
8. Mourning Star
9. Anthem
10. Up Through the Ashes
11. Silence of the Darkness
12. Blücher
13. Solitaire

The Human Stain wins the thing, while one of the album's bonus tracks, Season's End, finishes second and becomes the first - and most probably the last - bonus track to end up in the Finals. Ghost Opera and another bonus track, The Pendulous Fall, proceed to Consolations.

I'll try to fire up the Poetry for the Poisoned Survivor later this evening, and I swear I will get the Album League running next week. It's long overdue.

Ghost Opera should have been in the finals, but I won't complain about Season's End being there... I can confide that Ghost Opera will make it through.

How many songs from consolations go to the finals, anyway?

Here you go, it's actually in the first post (for one second I was worried it wasn't there):

Quote
Four last standing songs in Consolations will be promoted to Finals. Therefore, the Finals will feature 20 Kamelot songs.

I will be voting against it for sure, not a huge fan of that song.

Title track should have won and Zodiac should have made it to consolations for my tastes. Uh well, still the lesser of the Khan albums so no big deal.

The Album League is finished and here are the standings:

Standings:

#. Album | W - (T) - L (Votes difference)

1. The Black Halo | 7 - 0 (+46)
2. Epica | 6 - 1 (+40)
3. Karma | 5 - 2 (+25)
4. The Fourth Legacy | 4 - 3 (+9)
5. Haven | 2 - 1 - 4 (-13)
6. Silverthorn | 2 - 1 - 4 (-15)
7. Ghost Opera | 0 - 1 - 6 (-45)
8. Poetry for the Poisoned | 0 - 1 - 6 (-47)

The Black Halo is the only album that won every match, Epica was quite close and Karma gets the third spot.

Silverthorn Survivor Results (also added to the second post):

1. Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife)
2. Veritas

3. Falling Like a Fahrenheit
4. Song for Jolee

5. Solitaire
6. My Confession
7. Prodigal Son
8. Torn
9. Silverthorn
10. Ashes to Ashes
11. Manus Dei
12. Leaving Too Soon
13. Kismet
14. Grace
15. Continuum

Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife) wins the Survivor easily, and argualy the most progressive of the short songs here, Veritas, takes the second place. Both ballads, Falling Like a Fahrenheit (this is a surprise for me, but I'm not complaining) and Song for Jolee join the Consolations. With somewhat unexpected turn of events, the album's epic, Prodigal Son, ended up only at the 7th place.

Haven Survivor begins in a few minutes.

Consolations Results (also added to the second post):

1. The Haunting (Somewhere in Time)
2. The Fourth Legacy
3. March of Mephisto
4. III Ways to Epica

5. A Sailorman's Hymn
6. Karma
7. A Feast for the Vain
8. Temples of Gold
9. Citizen Zero
10. My Therapy
11. Ghost Opera
12. Song for Jolee
13. Poetry for the Poisoned
14. Falling Like a Fahrenheit
15. The Pendulous Fall
16. House on a Hill

The Consolations is over! While The Haunting (Somewhere in Time) won this, The Fourth Legacy, March of Mephisto and III Ways to Epica also got through, increasing the presence of The Black Halo, Epica and The Fourth Legacy (the album) in the Finals. The Black Halo now has four songs in the Finals.

Meanwhile, A Sailorman's Hymn barely misses the Finals and finishes at fifth place. Oh well.

Finals Results (also added to the second post):

1. Memento Mori
2. Elizabeth
3. Center of the Universe
4. Forever
5. Nights of Arabia
6. Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife)
7. March of Mephisto
8. III Ways of Epica
9. The Fourth Legacy
10. The Haunting (Somewhere in Time)
11. Veritas
12. Soul Society
13. Descent of the Archangel
14. Liar Liar (Wasteland Monarchy)
15. Fallen Star
16. Lunar Sanctum
17. Season's End
18. Hunter's Season
19. The Great Pandemonium
20. The Human Stain

The Survivor is finished! Memento Mori is the official winner of DTF Kamelot Survivor; Elizabeth gets the second places, and Center of the Universe finished third.

That was pretty interesting and unexpected for me, as much as I like Memento Mori, I think there are better Kamelot songs out there. Still, no complaints about the winner, definitely a worthy song to take the trophy.

Well, take it entirely away from the list and the resulting top 10 looks good for me  ;D

It's not that I don't like the song, it's good, but when I discovered Kamelot, they had their own unique brand of metal; they were positive without being happy-happy-helloweenish, uplifting and catchy music with a one of a kind singer; with The Black Halo they slowly started to gear towards a more sinister, gothic-ey, dare I say "mainstream" sound, to fit better with an image of bands and music styles that could be found plenty out there, and while they're still putting out quality albums, I never really loved that phase.

It's like with Symphony X, now the metal is very at the front of their sound, so people who discovered them when the prog was at the forefront (I'm making things simple in a very exagerated way for the sake of comparison) may still long for the more diversified sound of the earlier albums rather than the latest chugga-chugga ones.

Anyway, it was a fun ride through all the albums!  :tup and thanks to you Evermind for running this, you always had the most detailed and precise recaps round after round!
