Sent a song that I love and that Sacul will be like "it's ok. 3/5."

And at this point I don't even mind having my name in the title. It felt weird to NOT have that last round.
And if spirit's a sign,
Then it's only a matter of time

I would be impressed if Sacul managed to run 425 roulettes.
And if spirit's a sign,
Then it's only a matter of time

at the end of days, when humanity is all  but extinct, sacul will still be running roulettes on dtf.org

By that time, all the world's servers will be completely filled by a combination of Sacul's roulette threads and Sacul's spreadsheet.
And if spirit's a sign,
Then it's only a matter of time

your to-listen list will contain more albums than were ever written, every album that theoretically could exist, and even the ones that couldn't

I'll finally be able to listen to Evermind's mixtape, a dope release of Shoecore-mathgaze-dubstep-samplefronted-growly hiphop  :hat

i'm going to be disappointed if my song scores anywhere between 2.5 to 4.0+ tbh, i either want sacul to love it or hate it

Well it's pretty hard to find something I'd hate - even the lowest scores on the roulette are due to feeling underwhelmed by those tracks :P

Now if you sent me The Unicorn Invasion of Dundee or some 15-mins unchanging drone, that would be another story.

So two things:

1) sneaky hasn't sent yet, nor he has logged in for like two days, hope everything's fine.

2) What if I told you… there's a SECRET PLAYER?!?! He's a friend of mine who wanted to participate on the roulette but was too lazy to create an account here and has been sending me tracks every round via FB. Good news is he isn't aware of the list rule, and has sent me lots of obscure stuff I doubt you've heard of :P Will update the standings so you know how well he's doing, but since he isn't "officially" playing, even if he ends up on the top 5, he won't be eligible for the final EP round so nobody gets cockblocked in any way.

I'm the friend.

I've submitted twice.

Once publicly and once privately.

I send all my obscure classical music to him.

I'm amazing.

I'm currently in last place.

Sacul is getting djent next round.
I don’t know what to put here anymore

Standings updated with Secret Player's standing, on brackets :P

By the way, even is sneaky disappears completely, results will be up on Tuesday. I've already listened to everything at least 3 times, and it sounds like a stronger round than the last one, well done  :metal

Will reveal them after the roulette ends so if someone ends up sending one of them he won't get cockblocked. Besides, most of his choices except one are very obscure :P

I really wanted to like Low End Theory since I'm quite into chill music, but couldn't - even gave it another spin some weeks ago and didn't manage to finish it  :lol

I've never really felt compelled to give hip-hop more than a passing glance, but A Tribe Called Quest are one of the groups I put on if I want to see how well the genre is registering with me at the moment. Still lukewarm, at this point.

Of all the rap artists I've encountered though, their stuff is among the "safest" and least provocative and controversial, if that means anything. That's actually why I tend to turn to them though, I feel more pull from "quieter", more pop-oriented rap than gangster stuff.

What about more energic, experimental hip-hop like clipping. or Death Grips? :P

Scenario is amazing though.

Have you checked out their other albums? I mean I have to be in the mood for them. It's very chill, relaxing, alt hip hop, but it's also relatively dated by today's standards. Unless you know the context of what they were doing you won't fully appreciate it.

Check out Ms. Jackson by OutKast. And I can say that because I believe they are banned now.
I don’t know what to put here anymore

I haven't bothered to check their other albums, and possibly won't with the amount of great music I still have to check out. Will listen to that track tho :tup

Don't like Death Grips, haven't heard clipping.

I'd say if I do get into the genre properly at some point, it'll be through earlier, less full-on stuff like Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and Run DMC, or the jazz-inflected stuff like Madlib, Sound Providers, Gang Starr, etc.
