Has anyone heard this album? Gave it a spin today and I'm loving it! Can definitely hear some DT/SX influences

I've heard them before and really loved it. The SyX influence is undeniable.

Great album. The very obvious DT/SX influences don't bother me except Promise Land, which basically rips off DT's Afterlife.

The influences are strongly present but as the album goes on they mold their own sound slowly, still great for a debut album, makes me a bit sad though that they haven't released anything since, almost 6 years now

Except for the fact it's a bajillion times better than Afterlife.  Love this album/band.  Looking forward to the new album they're working on.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

I listened to the song again, and I still disagree. I do love the chorus, but even if I had never heard of Dream Theater, the verses in Promise Land are extremely lacking, and take away from the song.

The Pathway is pretty much my favourite prog/power album so that's an exciting release for sure :corn

...except Promised Land, which basically rips off DT's Afterlife.

You're not really ripping off anyone by writing a similar galloping riff by accident. It's literally the only thing in common between the songs.
