Just saw your age in your profile. That would explain why you don't know what they are. Best thing for you to do is to get the definition of the word on a dictionary website.  ;)
I did but I couldn't understand at all. :/
1) Great invention to decrease population and STI'S.
2) Great 75 cent policy for teens who want to bone.
3) Man's greatest enemy but his closest friend.
I mean, wtf do they mean?

Everything about this will be clear in due time, but it's best if you do not understand it all through us.

I checked the first dictionary and it was urban dictionary and that's what it said. Read the definitions there....so?

Edit: I'm frustrated that I don't know many things.
Glad to be back.

Good, you're not suppose to understand these sorts of things at your age.  Heck, I can't recall at the particular age I begin to grasp all of this.  We're still talking about JP's crazy hair and parachute pants right?

Yeah, let's just go back there.

JP's short hair is what makes him the handsome member in the band while Labrie comes close, in the old days.
Glad to be back.

No no no. Never go to an "urban" dictionary. All they do there is provide slang terminology and definitions that are sometimes pretty bad. If you want to get the actual definition of a word, go to a website like:
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/
https://www.merriam-webster.com/
or
https://www.oed.com/

Edit: I'm frustrated that I don't know many things.
Don't worry - enjoy your innocence. You may feel frustrated now, but sometimes it's nice not knowing everything or the truth about everything. You'll understand that as you get older.
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

I agree, they all looked fine, I liked Mangini's short hair better, or long ad in the 90's but now they are too dark.
Even though Petrucci looked better with shorter hair as in Score or, even better, with very long hair as in 1995:

This is the image I am referring to when I reference the "uniform".  I could do without that, but then again, it's not my call.  I don't let anyone tell me how to look, so I wouldn't expect them to change a thing because I (or anyone else) said so.

I see what you mean. Personally I find their look in that photo pretty ''normal'', but it's true that a lot of metal band dress in a similar fashion.

What about this then?

I saw your age too and I have to say 2 things:
1. It's amazing that the band have fans of your age!
2. Maybe in some years you'll understand what the condoms are, but they aren't a DT's souvenir. It was just a sign on the streets of Tokio and they were joking. Also, that happened back in 1992

There's no way someone at 13 doesn't know what a comdom is, right? It's pretty young, but it's not that young, especially these days.

Well, unless they are homeschooled, their parents shelter them from everything and the contact they have with friends is severely limited.

At least in my country (México), at 13 most of teenagers already know what a condom is, but hey, she still keeps her innocence. She will know it when the right time comes  :tup

So this thread got kinda creepy.  Well, lets be honest, it started out creepy with a bunch of straight men talking about our preferences for other mens appearance...not that there is anything wrong with that.

Condoms? Um, are they like a dream theater souvenir?  Where can I find those condoms? That'd be really nice to havr.
Easily one of the best posts I have read recently.

I gotta say, this might be the ultimate DT souvenir.  So bizarre and obscure, nobody thought to pick up those condoms in japan in the early-mid 90s.  I know some people on this board have the original Majesty demo tape.  One person even got Mike Portnoy's cut off blue beard from the early 2000's (I dont think they post here though) but nobody has the keyboard condom that DT were joking about from the Live in Tokyo home video.

That could fetch in upwards of $10 on ebay.

I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

So ToT and 8vm, I need answers to. Thanks!

So, going back to the original question, here are the pictures.

DREAM THEATER 2004. TOT era. This was the average look of the members (except JP and his Steve Vai-esque look)

This is JP's 2004 look, before the rare look.

DREAM THEATER 2005. 8V era. Actually they kept the same look of the previous year. JR is the only that changed a bit, shaving his moustache and beard (kinda weird looking). Since then, he's been growing his wizard beard

This is DTF, so maybe this game has already been played but .........

Guess the year by only using a John Myung pic.  Each pic could probably range from 1982 to 2015.  The background would probably give more away than JM.

He changes basses a lot (or at least used to when I still paid attention).  So I'm gonna say his bass model is going to give away more than Myung himself.

That was the black clothes, straight long hair era.

Angela's innocence was faded.

Okno.

Seriously tho, I don't think there's really any way to tell between BC&SL Myung and Score Myung.
That just stopped aging, he's immortal, he's gonna outlive all his bandmates by a long time. Next to None's members will die of old age and Myung will be at their funerals. He's expected to live around 500 years at least.

Myung is a giant tortoise
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
