Nice. I kept it light because I have work right now. So just two Heinekens, a Blue Moon Chai Spiced Beer, a glass of Sicilian wine, and some unexpectedly strong egg nog.

Me too. This is where all the cool kids hang out.  Or maybe just the degenerate drunks. Who the fuck knows...

I brought some leftovers with me to work. I'm not sure if you saw the dessert photo I put up on Facebook. Besides that, I brought some stuffed shells, meatballs, sausage, pig skin, and pig neck.

That 1792 Bourbon looks right up my ally Coz.

After my last post yesterday, I ended up having a couple glasses of Angel's Envy (I burned my hand taking the turkey out of the oven and I needed the pain reliever). After dinner, while watching the Packer game, my son-in-law talked me into giving up my secrets to martini making. We had a couple.

I'm sticking with virgin coffee this morning. It's going to be hours before I can consider posting in this thread again.  :lol

The 1792 is excellent. Not my preferred choice, but I like trying new ones. The Hooker's House is finished in old pinot noir barrels. Gives it an interesting taste.

Drinking some Yuengling lager.

Had a lovely Chimay Blue, a Belgian Beer this afternoon.
A glass of nice Bordeaux at dinner, I love French reds.
Chilling on the couch now with a glass of Glenlivet Nŕdurra (really tasteful!) before going to my local bar, where I'll be DJ'ing tonight (first actual DJ job ever). Tonight's going to be amazing. Might have a couple of more.  :D

Pretty much.  Wine every so often.  Beer with the appropriate foods (wings, pizza etc..), and on a hot summer day.  It's winter now ... need something to warm the soul.

That's a proper whiskey. How do you like the Blue Label, Jingle? I think I'll never spend that much money on a blended whiskey.
Anyway, I think I'll pour me one of these tonight:

Johnnie Blue has a special place in my heart.  I was never a fan of scotch until my early 30s when someone poured me some - so, it really is the scotch that popped my cherry.  For years, that's the only scotch I drank.  Then I deviated, and started drinking single malts about 6-7 years ago.  When it comes to a blend, I'll only drink high-end... the $40-$50 bottles are shit.  I can't stand Gold or lower (Platinum is probably, but I've never tried it), Ballantine's, J&B, Chivas Regal or anything like that.  There isn't much of a selection in the liquor stores here, so I usually just keep it safe, and go Blue when it comes to a blend... at least when I'm drinking it straight.  Mixed drinks - I'd only use a blend.

What does blue label cost over there, then? Over here it's close to (the equivalent of) 200 dollars. I don't think I'll ever spend that on a bottle of whiskey.

I've gone upmarket myself though, I do have more money to spend on drinks. I enjoy a Chivas in a bar, but at home, I'd love to take my take and drink a un-peated, non chill filtered preferably cask strength single malt. But I've never had whiskey of over 70 dollars on a bottle.
