Finally dove into the VUUR album. Really digging it, it's not an amazing album, but it's really solid. I'll agree Rio and Berlin are up there, definitely digging Santiago and Mexico City as well. Anneke's voice is so amazing, but I find the music at times to be a bit lacking. It's not bad, but feels samey through a lot of the album, not a whole lot of variation in the song writing. I don't think there's a bad track here, but if I were to say Rio was my favorite, it's not blowing me away. I'd give the album about a 7.5 or so. I gave a similar rating to Sons of Apollo but for different reasons.
Been really digging the new band Cyhra though, they aren't prog but their debut album landed the same time as VUUR and Sons of Apollo and I find that album significantly better than either of these bands. Mostly due to extremely catchy vocal melodies. I've found the songs I come back to are the ones that have those such as VUUR's Freedom - Rio, Sons of Apollo's Alive.
