Way way way too symphonic.

Are you a fan Tim?

If not, try their first album, you'll love it.

I have Fallen Sanctuary which is freaking awesome. I kind of lost touch with them after that, but the stuff I have sampled since doesn't seem to be as good.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

If you're not a symphonic fan, Serenity, by-and-large, will not appeal.

I am, so ... yeah.  This song was pretty tame however.  Still enjoyable.

I'm not a massive symphonic fan at all but the first album is a blinder and War of Ages is really good too.

I only listened to War of Ages (someone sent Wings of Madness in my roulette), but yeah, it's pretty good indeed.

edit: new song is enjoyable indeed, will check the album when it comes out.

Just read there is a new Cloudscape album out on Jan 8th.  I had no idea this was happening.  Oh yeah!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyaP3JGcIwI

Sounds pretty good, hopefully it's a step up from the last album which was pretty disappointing.

None at all.  Sounds really fuckin good.  Can't say I found the last one disappointing.  I got them in my second roulette (from you?), and snagged the entire discography at once.  Hard to say which album I liked best.  Gonna have a re-go at New Era this morning.

On FB this morning:

Quote from: Pyramaze
Pyramaze begin work on new (untitled) album for release in 2016. The follow up to 2015's favorably reviewed "Disciples of the Sun" is currently being written and recorded on both sides of the ocean (Denmark and USA.) This will mark the first time in the band's history that they have released albums in consecutive years.
Keyboardist Jonah W. states that "We are humbled and honored by the positive response by our fans for Disciples of the Sun, and want to pay this forward by making our biggest, best, and most epic album to date. The truth of the matter is that our fans mean everything to us and are our main inspiration to forge onward. We believe that 2016 will be the biggest year for Pyramaze to date, and on behalf of myself, Toke, Jacob, Morten, and Terje, we want to wish you all a very happy and very Metal new Year!

Wolfking ($100)
Cloudscape/Under Fire
Mystery Band #2 this round.  Now I know why they are high on my 'check-it-out' list.  Damn... Why did I wait!  Near perfect melodic metal.  Not entirely unique, but (just as in Bosk’s submission) there are only so many variations to this genre... And it doesn't really matter, because this scratches me right where I itch.  Song of the round.

Well there you go.  :lol

I remember checking them out from Planet Alliance of course, but someone sent someone else the song Everyday is Up to You at some stage, which made me dig them initially.  I thought Tim was involved.  That was obviously way before your first roulette.  Haha, I nailed it with that song, it's awesome.

I stumbled across the new album from Teramaze this week, and it's incredible.  I recommend it to anyone who likes Dream Theater, Tesseract, Redemption, Fates Warning, Symphony X, etc.  Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ctzK_hBw4w&index=1&list=PLz8ufS3KEgcY22euR_Za-NxjXRM9g3WE_

'twas one of my top albums of the year.  The previous two were pretty good - I prefer the debut over their 2nd one.

I think Her Halo was excellent.

Just for the sake of clarity Teramaze have 2 albums in the 90's which I don't think have been counted by Chad , who I assume is starting with Anhedonia.

Yes.  I was unaware's of that.  They aren't on Spotify or iTunes, and I hadn't dug too deep into their history.  Local guy would know best.  Are they any good?

Wolverine - Communication Lost
I'm reminded of Anathema and good Queensryche with somber atmospheric backdrops. If you're into the upbeat, in-your-face prog metal that has been done to death this probably won't appeal to you, but I think fans of Anathema's Eternity, Judgement, and Alternative 4 era will definitely appreciate this.

I only listened to that one disc so maybe their others aren't as good. They're not your typical prog metal band. Right now, I'm listening to this though and loving Anneke. She's in my Top 3 of female singers.

I'm curious to know what everyone else thinks of the Wolverine, though.
