Melanie Mau/Martin Schnella (acoustic covers)
« on: October 24, 2016, 02:16:45 PM »
Sorry, didn't find a thread...

I'm quite sure some of you have heard about these guys (or better: him and his girlfriend) from Germany.
Martin is quite known for his guitar playing with Flaming Row, Seven Steps To The Green Door, Toxic Smile or the latest Frequency Drift.

They released an album with lots of prog covers called "Gray Matters".
Saw them live last weekend in Germany (Progressive Promotion Festival), and they simply blew everyone away. Fantastic guitar playing, awesome singing, great harmonies.

So, maybe you wanna check out their Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/Matteff2000/videos) or their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MelanieMauundMartinSchnella/?fref=ts).

And thank me later.  :P

New live album out now.

Here's what they say:

Quote
Our new live CD "Gray Matters - Live In Concert" will be released on february 18th - Including our first Original "Close To The Heart"
PRE-ORDER NOW!

Last Christmas we played a big show in our hometown Osterode and we recorded it on 16 tracks. We had such a great evening and
the recorded tracks sounded really cool and authentic that we decided to make a live CD.
There was a wide range of songs and we decided to put 15 tracks on the CD. It contains a bit of everything we play. Some of our prog moments, a few pop/mainstream songs, the celtic side and our Heavy Metal arrangements.
We had such a great support by our dear friends and co-musicians Niklas Kahl, Fabian Gödecke and Stephan Wegner this evening.

You can pre-order the CD now on a very simple way! Just send us an email to martinschnella@gmx.de or a PN via Facebook and we will get back to you immediately.
We will donate 1 Euro of each sold CD to the "ALS-mobil e.V." in Germany. Our dear friend Katja suffers from this incurable disease and we have the need to support her.
In 2014 different people called attention to "ALS" (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) with the ice-bucket challenge. The origin of "ALS" is not studied, yet and there is no money left to invest.
It is characterized by stiff muscles, muscle twitching, and gradually worsening weakness due to muscles decreasing in size. This results in difficulty in speaking, swallowing, and eventually breathing.

People like Katja depend on our support, emotionally and financially. We know that this is just a drop in the ocean, but we all together can set the world on fire.
