I thought it might be nice to know some general preferences regarding the next tour, about what songs they should play among those that MM hasn't played live yet..

I couldn't decide one "fair" quantity of votes per user, so I just put the number of the upcoming album, 13.. I think it gives you the opportunity to choose about an entire setlist..

About the order of the songs, I took as reference the final results from 'DT the League - 2015' (https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=42658.0), runned by Destiny of Chaos in the Polls/Survivors section, that I personally think that it must get much more attention, in order for us to have more representative results on this league, that also demands a lot of job especially to DoC, but also to the voters who follow it and vote every time..

Btw, this has been said in the League about that concern:

Is there some way to get this linked in the main forum? Polls there get much much more votes.

I'm not sure if a Moderator can put a link to the league on the main forum. Would be worth looking into. I wouldn't want to spam the heck out of the DT forum with links, or the polls itself. This game, and the survivor before it has been a thing here since 2005, so I'm thinking that most of the old-heads know what the deal is. The challenge would be to get the word out to the newer users without spamming the other forums.

Can I vote for TGP 13 times please? So overdue it's not funny!

I voted for Octavarium, SDOIT (a man can dream right?), Take The Time, LITS, ITNOG, TGP, Blind Faith, ANTR, Anna Lee, JLMB, TAMP, but there are still plenty more I'd love to hear too.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Some are mostly because they are rarely (never) played, not because of Mangini.

ACOS
Take The Time
TGP
Blind Faith
Hell's Kitchen
The Best of Times
Misunderstood
Surrender to Reason
The Bigger Picture
Raw Dog

If I had to choose only 1, Hell's Kitchen.

Not going to list all thirteen, but out of the ones I voted, Misunderstood, The Glass Prison and In the Name of God are the ones I'd like to see the most.

I picked songs that I really like and haven't been played since 2008:

ACOS
LITS
TGP
Blind Faith
Hell's Kitchen
Innocence Faded (I'm not sure if James could nail this on a nightly basis, but it'd be cool to hear it at least once)
TKH
Eve
Another Won
STM
Status Seeker
DLPM
TOWHTSTS

The B-sides and some of the WDADU songs probably have no chance of being played again, but one can always hope.

Yeah, I had put "Through My Words" (which is the only song that is not on the DT League) but then remembered they've already played it with Mangini, right before Fatal Tragedy in his first tour with the band.. The problem was that it wasn't possible to remove that empty space once I erased TMW.. So I put there a Majesty song, just like it is Another Won e.g... And one I personally like..

Shouldn't In the Presence of Enemies be one option like 6DOIT is? Especially considering they have never actually played it split up?

According to DTF's handy tourography, it looks like they played ITPOE pt 1 alone during the Prog Nation tour (obviously for time reasons), and played both parts separately in one other instance.
But I agree with your point that it should be listed as one (at least along with being listed separately), as that's primarily how it was performed.

Wow...I didn't know that. Forgot that I skipped the first prog nation tour.  Other than that, I think I have seen them every leg since then.

6DOiT is a special case.. And so is ItPoE, but in another way.. As Blob said, they were played it split up, but in general they were played it together.. And since I don't want to start this debate again, I'm going to place it on the list..

In the Presence of Enemies (thanks for changing it.  I wanted to be sure the full version got my vote)
Prophets of War
Disappear
You Not Me
The One Who Helped Set the Sun
Anna Lee
A Rite of Passage (even though I dont think this songs translates that well in a live setting)
Voices
Take the Time
In the Name of God
Blind Faith
Misunderstood
The Bigger Picture

This is incredibly hard to decide but ultimately I went with a few of my favorites and then a few of the more underrated songs just because I would love to see them try it since they did a rather gutsy thing by pulling out Burning My Soul even though very few people were clamoring for it.

A few I almost chose:

A Change of Seasons
This Dying Soul
Home
Only a Matter of Time
Take Away My Pain (album version)
Light Fuse and Get Away

Would also be cool to hear Your Majesty but a real shitty thing to do to James.  Maybe they could have Chris Collins do a guest appearance?  :D

Would love to hear Eve played live again. I don't think it has ever been played live with Jordan either so with 2 different members I'd like to see how the sound changes.
Surrender to Reason and The Bigger Picture because they are some of my favorites off the last album (and in general)
Misunderstood, Hell's Kitchen, Lines in the Sand, Blind Faith, In the Name of God, Six Degrees, Take the Time, Home...and I forget what else I picked now...
Has Raw Dog ever even been performed live?

Most clever (and currently active) guy on the forums.

Personnally I find that he tries to hard to be clever and, most of the time, what he writes is usually dumb.

I'm not sure if you are actually serious, but thanks anyway!

More seriously though, I voted for songs that I like more than anything else. Although a lot of them also happen to have cool drum parts.

The Bigger Picture and Surrender to Reason (it seems logical to me since he wrote the drums for those)
Take the Time
Home
In the Name of God
The Glass Prison
Beyond this Life
Hell's Kitchen
Misunderstood
Sacrificed Sons
A Nightmare to Remember
New Millenium
In the Presence of Enemies

And honorable mentions to Blind Faith, Stream of Consciousness, Voices and The Killing Hand.

There are many songs I'd like to see, but they wouldn't all fit the question so...

Songs I want to see MM play:
Lines in the Sand, In THe Name of God, The Glass Prison, Honor Thy Father, New Millennium, Anna Lee (yes), Never Enough, A Rite of Passage, Just Let Me Breathe,  Light Fuse and Get Away.

Songs I kinda just want the band to play anyway:
The Ministry of Lost Souls, The Best of Times, The Killing Hand.

Almost voted for:
This Dying Soul, Voices, You or Me, Beyond This Life, Blind Faith

Songs I didn't need to vote for because I assumed they'd have a decent following anyway:
Octavarium, A Change of Seasons, The Bigger Picture and Home.

Anyway, I think it was a great idea to have 13 options which seems crazy but it allows our favourites to be represented but also allows for some of the less rated options to show through.

EDIT: Special mention for Prophets of War (which I always go to type as Profits of War  ::)). I would've voted for it but somehow entirely missed it... I'd be interested to see what the current version of the band does with this song, but I'm generally more interested in them playing some of the rarer stuff anyway, for purely selfish reasons of course. - I like collecting and finding a preferred live version of songs to make live playlists. Which is why I wouldn't bother picking anything from I&W as we've got plenty of decent versions of those songs. :P

I voted TMOLS, but it's more than anything just a song I want the band to play anyway, no matter who is behind the drums, because hearing TMOLS during a Dream Theater show is very rare.

I have always had a problem with MM's closed hihat sound.
It always sounds loose and not fully closed. It makes that the parts with a lot of things going on on the hihat lose their meaning and sense. (Like These Walls, first verse of Panic Attack, the instrumental part in The Dark Eternal Night or the bridge from Strange Déjŕ Vu among others)

That makes me want to doubt if a really want to see songs that have a lot of hihat action, like ITPOE, LITS, TTT or POW.

It's really a detail, a mean, i'd still love to hear those songs.

Leaving that aside, i would like to see
The glass prison
Home
Beyond this life
A rare one from WDADU
Just let me breathe
Anna Lee
You or me

I always only want to hear songs I haven't heard before. So these are the ones I picked:

Status Seeker
The Killing Hand
The Ones Who Help to Set the Sun
Only a Matter of Time
You Not Me
Hell's Kitchen
Take Away My Pain
Anna Lee
Regression
Through Her Eyes (the only vote?? really?!)
Disappear
Repentance
The Best of Times
I don't want MP playing with DT unless they were making a drummer change. If they let MM go and bring back MP, then fine, but no guest appearance please.

I've actually got it checked, but then I counted the number of checks and the result was fourteen. So I unchecked "Through Her Eyes". Anyway I agree that it's very underrated. One of my favorite songs from SFAM.

I'll show some love for TALW in this post lol. I wanted to pick it, especially cause I knew it wouldn't be represented very well. But really, it's not exactly a song I'm particularly interested in seeing MM play, and even if it hasn't been played much, it's represented pretty well on Score.
