2015 NFL Survivor Game - TAKE 2, Week 10, 3 Still Alive

Choose a team that you think will win their Week 1 game.

If your team wins, you move on to the next Week. If your team does not win, you're eliminated.

You must choose a different team each week. Once you choose a team, you may no longer use them for the rest of the Survivor.

You must submit your pick before the kickoff of the game that you're choosing. So the latest that you can pick is just before kickoff for the Monday Night Game (or the late MNF game in Week 1).

Here is the list of games for Week 1 Choose wisely.

(All times EST)

Thursday, September 10
Pittsburgh at New England

Sunday, September 13
Indianapolis at Buffalo
Green Bay at Chicago
Kansas City at Houston
Cleveland at N.Y. Jets
Miami at Washington
Carolina at Jacksonville
Seattle at St. Louis
New Orleans at Arizona
Detroit at San Diego
Tennessee at Tampa Bay
Cincinnati at Oakland
Baltimore at Denver
N.Y. Giants at Dallas

Monday, September 14
Philadelphia at Atlanta
Minnesota at San Francisco

First glance at the schedule, I see a lot of favorites on the road. Should be interesting.

Miami

Yeah, I'm going with this as well.  Let's aim to make it until week 3 this year.  At that rate, I'll be champ of this league in 15 more years.

After this pick, I might take the ABC strategy - Anyone But Chicago.

I'm shocked that anyone is picking Seattle.  To me, that's a dangerous pick.

New England.

I'm not really shocked, but I'm not touching that one.  St. Louis is greatly improved.  I think NE is a risky pick too.  Neither of them should be, but both their opponents are prime to be much improved.

For me, Tampa is the most dangerous pick.   :lol

If I had any interest in winning a survivor, the absolute last thing that I would do is pick the road team of a tough division game, especially in this case, a team who knows Seattle well and has defeated them recently.

I take it a step further and avoid picking road teams in survivors, even though Miami over Washington looks like a slam dunk. New England over Pittsburgh looks to be one too. Brady's going to be a man on a mission, and he will absolutely destroy that Pittsburgh "Defense". Add the fact that Roethlisburger is missing 2 of his top weapons, and this is a no-brainer.

I wouldn't count on Brady coming out hot. He certainly didn't last year, and this year he'll have more to contend with. He's also dealing with fewer receivers he has good timing with.

Not when you play the Rams. I'd pick several of the area high school teams over them. They are a mess and it's not gonna get any better.....

There aren't a lot of absolute no-brainers in week one.  It's like the league tried to match up good teams with good teams and bad teams with bad teams.

I would probably go NE except that would cause a cheering conflict.  Washington is such a dumpster fire that I'm going to go with Miami.  LaVonte David isn't on the Dolphins, so he can't possible fuck me over again.

Mammal fish it is.

They beat Seattle 11 months ago.  Was this result really so unbelievable?

I suppose it's because the Rams have been a bipolar mess and just not very good for quite some time and the Seahawks are a much better team than them.

Seattle seems to have the yips with StL.  I wasn't touching this game at all.  Got real worried about Miami too, but thankfully they pulled it out.

I'm actually a bit surprised that Seattle doesn't go for the FG to tie there.   Haushka (however you spell it) has the leg.   Ball was on the 41...he had just kicked a 60 in preseason.

Well, when you've got the best RB in the league, and you only need 1 yard, you hand him the ball, right?   ::)

Seattle ahead by 7 with less than a minute.  Blown coverage on the Rams TD pass.  Game tied at 31.  Overtime.  Pete Carroll makes bonehead call for onside kick.  Doesn't get it.  Rams kick FG.  Lynch gets stuff on 4th down.  Game over.  Priceless.
