yamaha motif xs question
« on: August 12, 2009, 03:40:04 PM »
If any of you use one, does the rack unit sound as good as the xs8? I love the piano and nylon string guitar sounds on the xs8, but since the rack is just called 'xs', I'm thinking they may not be quite the same?

The "8" is just a way where you can distinguish between the 6, the 7 and the 8 octaves models. The XS synthesis remains the same, so the rack has all the sounds you're looking for. It's like Alesis QS6, QS7 and QS8 synths. The number is just an indication of the size of the synth.
