The Looking Glass has been confirmed for Guitar Hero Live
« on: August 05, 2015, 07:19:05 AM »
I guess this is DT's year for music games! After Metropolis Pt. 1 being confirmed for Rock Band 4, The Looking Glass has now been announced for Guitar Hero Live (also coming out in October 2015):

While Rock Band 4 is sticking with the five colored fret layout (for guitar) that has been in all previous Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, Guitar Hero Live is more of a reboot.

It only allows for guitar and vocals (no bass or drums), and the guitar controller is brand new with two rows of frets, each with three buttons. It is played in "first person," as you are looking out into the crowd.

Wow! Not only The Looking Glass, but I also see Royal Blood's Come On Over and Megadeth's Hangar 18, two of my favorite bands!
And In Flames is also great.

Nice!
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

I couldn't help being amused when I noticed that Limelight is also going to be in the game. :P

Also, what's up with this sudden comeback of music games?

No real interest in the new Guitar Hero (after playing the Rock Band games for so long, the more recent Guitar Hero games feel like cheap broken knockoffs). The new button layout could be interesting, but most of the changes they're making seem very unappealing to me.

That said, it's great for DT. Really happy for them.

I am excited for Metropolis in RB4 (it also seems like most songs they're announcing for the new Guitar Hero that I'd be even remotely interested in are already available in Rock Band, since they're bringing all of their downloadable songs forward).

Not nearly as exciting as Metropolis, but the simple fact that there's a DT song in Guitar Hero makes me happy

Exactly. I'm happy they're going to have more exposure, maybe it will bring more fans. Anyway, RB4 wins because of Metropolis.

Would be great if the new GH didn't seem like a step backwards. It's nice to see DT there though.

This is nice, but is Guitar Hero still popular? I haven't played or seen anyone playing for the past 4 years or something.
