Hey all. I've renewed our league from last year. Those who participated should have gotten an email. After a few days, I'll open up registration to everyone. Just wanted to give former members preference.

Once we get everyone signed up, we'll go over any rule tweaks and a draft date/time.

I'm sure everyone can figure out who I am.

I think we did the draft at like, 8pm or 9pm ET last year? That worked for me. Always depends on whether I'm traveling or not. We could try to do it Labour Day (the 7th), then everyone might be pretty flexible, with most not having work commitments.

Okay... I removed the teams that don't seem to be returning. You should be able to sign up now.

I'm going to be traveling that week on the west coast, so it might be problematic to participate in the draft. Any opposition to moving it to the following Monday - Labour Day? That's also a little close to the start of the season.

Whatever date/time works for the majority is what we'll go with. Labor Day could work. Plus, the closer to the start of the season you draft, the better.

If they haven't signed up by now, they're likely not interested. I think we had 2-3 no show managers by the end of the season last year, so it would be great to have people active and committed for the full season. I say sign up.

Draft is currently scheduled for Sunday, September 6th at 8:00 PM EST. If Mon, Tues, Wed works better for the majority, we can move it. If 9:00 is better than 8:00 we can move it as well.

Also, we're sitting at 11. Need one more warm body.

Finally, please review the league settings, if anything should be adjusted, please let me know.

I should be able to do that Sunday. I can't do that Monday (Labor Day) or Tuesday, but if it needs to be moved, I understand. It's whatever night the most can make it.

Might not be able to attend the draft, its a US holiday and most likely won't be home on my computer Sunday evening, but I also may just let it do auto draft regardless since I am terrible at these historically.

Awww man. You don't have to drop out entirely. I managed to do pretty good last year in spite of my top 4 or 5 picks being done by auto-draft.

It's still fun.

I refuse to do auto-draft, and quite frankly, playing in any league where anyone does auto-draft sucks

, because the auto-draft always does something screwy, like making four of their first six picks quarterbacks, which messes up not only their team, but the entire draft. That's not fun at all, IMO.

auto draft doesn't really do that anymore. at least not on yahoo. it takes what you need on ur team, not just the top ranked player. it still sucks, just not as bad.
