That look on Jordan's face when he's behind JM at the start of As I Am... :lol You can also see the setlist every time they show Mangini from behind - not good for those who wanted to avoid any spoilers. :P

But yeah, those first few songs are pretty rough vocally. :-\ I wonder if James is sick again, because all the notes in the fifth octave sound really screechy and strained, and he avoids the higher phrasing and screams that he's done on Afterlife and AIA in some of the videos I've seen from this summer.

On a positive note, the mix sounds awesome! :metal

Anyone noticed Myung's counting beats with headbangs at the start of As I Am :') that was gold

Yeah that was cool to see, I do the same when there's no drums to do the counting for me, like the beginning of As I Am right here.  ;D

I'm just watching through it now, and I noticed it's using the studio version of FAS over the intro video.

The mix is nice overall. Usually they bury the keys in the mix with these festival broadcasts, but I can hear it nice and clear. They usually bury the background vox too, which is the case earlier in the show, but I can hear JP better as the show goes on luckily.
The drums sound a little wimpy, but ok. JLB sounds like he's having trouble with the higher range on the earlier songs, but seems to improve over the show.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Labrie's Mistake at the end of Constant Motion
The naked dude at Panic Attack
Labrie's constant ruining of the melody at TSCO.

This is pure gold.

I add:

The weird ending of JLB on Panic Attack
The GLORIOUS ending pose of JP on the same song
JM stage presence

And don't forget this guy:

Ok, I know it's not a perfect gif, but well... There you go

Bosk should consider making this guy new admin of DTF

Also, I wonder why the fuck were the Wacken videos brought down.
Nobody's going to buy shit to see that again, and you cannot warp time back to relive it.

They were taken down from Youtube? Oh man... Good thing I downloaded it!  ;D

Wtf.

I'd gladly buy it, but it's not as if they're planning to release the DT set in its entirety. Unless they are, but I reheheheheally doubt it.
Unless DT can get a hold of it and release it as a Ytsejam item, but I'm not holding my breath for another official Ytsejam Records release, like, ever.

They could just offer it as a free download like they did with the Happy Holidays 2013 gift. It doesn't have to have the 'Ytsejam' label to it.

The Queensrÿche video is still there, better watch it before it's gone as well, good performance and sound.

Yeah, but it's Queensryche.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

I think Queensrÿche's last album was great, and they're still amazing live!

They could. Though if it was on a DVD, I wouldn't mind like, extra interview footage, and stuff like that.

Hold on though, do most of Wacken's DVDs include the full concerts? Or are they just like a couple of songs from each artist like Gigantour? Cause if it's the former, and they plan to release DT's set as part of their DVD release, then it's understandable why they'd take it down.

Man, JLB has been changing the phrasing and melodies very frequently in recent years. He should just stick close to the album versions, he's just making it harder on himself, and to be honest, the songs just don't sound quite as good...

Go to Petrucci's house and tell him to play The Glass Prison second solo as fast as he can, this will rip reality and create a spacetime vortex which will destroy the entire current universe, forcing existence to restart at a previous point, which will be a few days ago.

It was definitely worth seeing. They haven't played some of these songs in many tours, it was cool seeing them in front of such a massive crowd, it was great seeing a good quality recording of a day time outdoor show, there was a lot of unique aspects to this show.

OK I'll clarify. If you can ignore the vocals, it's a good performance.

Yeah....this. JLB may not have been on top of his game the first few songs but the rest of them were spot on and in the zone the entire time.

JLB 6.5/10.......Rest of band 9.5/10 IMO.

I can concur. JLB had a rough start, but he did manage to get into a rhythm towards the middle of the show, which was nice. The rest of the band killed it, though.

...and again, a lot of people in this thread beg to differ.  It seems people universally felt that James started out rough but about half the people here say he improved immensely after Metropolis.
