Dream Theater song parodies.
« on: July 24, 2015, 04:28:25 AM »
Many of these have been posted before on other threads, but I've decided to bring them together.
I've gotten to the conclusion that BC&SL might be the single most parodied album I've ever seen. Of course I've seen songs being parodied countless of times, but not an entire album. I'm pretty sure that's what makes this album so special, many fans seem to have paid a little more attention to it than, say, SC or Octavarium.
Soo! Let's begin this. I tho it would be nice to have all that material put together here.

Never Gonna Wither you Up

Gangnam Wither

THE ENTIRE BC&SL DISCO

Much love to this album which is actually my 3rd favorite in DT Discography hahahaha  :lol

Dream Theater vs Mr. President

Hahahaha, anyway.
If you know any other parody, remix, whathever, feel free to post it, make your own, I think it can be a section or the full song idk. I want to see as much DT comedy as I can.  :rollin :rollin :rollin

FYI that's because the full album was released as individual tracks in the boxset, so it's much easier to work with. ;)

And on that note, here's A Rite of Thriller. It doesn't work great, but someone's bound to mention it!

Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

I always wondered why MrDreamTheater2 wasn't on DTF, now I finally found the answer under the Mr. President video:

I stopped giving a shit about any DT-related social media like Facebook or the forums a long time ago. There are some huge assholes who congregate on those, which is really saying something coming from an asshole like myself.

It's a slow day and I made a little doodle. Since there's no side chat thread anymore, I thought I'd post it here. Awake is full of samples, but the forgot to add the most obvious one: https://youtu.be/0s3iUsxrf88

Probably the scariest thing I've ever heard/seen in my whole life.
I didn't want to sleep anyway, thank you.

Gotta agree The Dark Nintendo Night is the most badass parody.
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

While it is very enjoyable, most of these "disco" or whatever versions are actually just other songs with pretty much just JLB's vocals over the top. I was hoping for actual disco versions, or fuller mash-ups.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

Agree.
Not the best of Mr.DreamTheater2's work, but definitely a funny one.
I just don't like TCOT disco, it sounds... lazied.
