Fear the Deer!

It's hard to fear a team that loses by 25 points against the Knicks  :lol

that was a poor performance to say the least.  :tdwn

I'm watching the Grizzlies game right now and while I enjoy their style of play I also feel sorry for them. They've been doing it really good for a couple of years, maintaining the same core of players and developing their game to the point where they've become a great force in the west but I don't see them winning a ring. They're awesome inside game needs to be complemented with a couple of players that can really shoot the ball and I'm not gonna deny Tony Allen is a defensive beast but he's completely useless on the offensive side. I'd love for them to finally realize they need shooters but it seems the Grizzlies fans are quite happy with their team so maybe they won't change and continue with this until Randolph and Gasol retire.

They got Courtney Lee last season, and I think that's a good start. But you are right, they need shooters to surround both Z-Bo and Gasol to go anywhere.

Spurs!!!

Kawhi man. If he isn't in talks in being one of the top ten players right now, then maybe after this season. He's gonna give the top players like LeBron, Durant, Curry, and Harden problems this season. His defense is great, but he plays great both ends of the court.

What about them? I've accepted the fact long ago that, we are the 6th best team in all of CA, after the Ws, Kings, Clippers, Sparks and the D-Fenders, lol!  :lol

Ok, I know D-Howard sat out @ the Heat, and I really don't care for the Rockets much at all; but the Rockets led by 19 pts at the half... holy crap! How could they ended up losing this one by 20 pts? WTF? Lol!  :loser:

Harden had a terrible night, 2-15 from the floor. No way the Rockets will win a game with him shooting like that.

Harden has been ice cold in the first 3 games! He is shooting just 22% thus far! Wow! I thought Grandpa Kobe sucks this year... Harden is at a different level, man.  :hat

On the opposite side, Steph Curry is shooting 58% from the field and currently his PER is 52.3. I know it's only been 3 games but as Dan Devine wrote in yahoo sports

At this point, defending Curry isn't even trying to grab hold of smoke. It's trying to confirm a rumor that smoke once existed while stranded on a desert island

Didn't see much of that last night.  They still look pretty stagnant on defense.  At least Nikola's shot looks good though.

I love when guys like Curry and Leonard come out of the gate wanting to make an impression. Both could have said, 'I'm the MVP/DOP, I'll slowly work into rhythm so I'm ready for the playoffs.' Instead, they're getting some early wins, putting the league on habits, and keeping their games in top shape.

Yay, an NBA topic! Personally, I go for the Warriors. Been following them for 3 years. Dad's a warrior fan, mom's a laker fan, and my brothers are a clipper/thunder/cavs fan. Curry is my favorite athlete as well as Klay. Can't wait for the clipps/warrior game so when curry drops 50, I can laugh at my brother. Though, Griffin and Paul might be a problem...we will see soon!
Glad to be back.

I respect the Pelicans for losing the first six games and not arrogantly racing to wrap up the #8 seed so early in the season.

After last night, how can the Clippers possibly get the Warriors out of their heads?  It isn't just about this game.  But after the history these two teams have, a precedent has now been established.  Shaq said it after the game:  When the Warriors started to come back in the 4th, you could see the panic in the Clippers' eyes.  I think the Warriors now own them completely.

The Warriors are insane. Just insane. The odds are stacked against them, but there's a real chance they get 70 wins. It's not a great chance, but it's not like a 1% chance either. I feel like if you played the season 1000 times starting now, they get 70 wins like 25% of the time.

Not trying to be a fanboy, but given the 13-0 start, and the fact that several of those wins are already against likely playoff contenders, I would put the odds better than that.  Maybe around 60%.  But that said, the "82-0" crowd need a reality check.  That ain't happening.  :lol  But with the Clippers down, I think they have an EXCELLENT shot at getting 16-0 and breaking the current record for best start.  Chicago tonight right after the big win in L.A. will be tough though.

If they can win against Chicago they'll likely set an unbeatable record cause after that they have a lot of very winnable games.

I actually think they have more of a chance of losing to a bad team than a good team. They aren't overlooking any of their opponents, really, but I think they really care about pride and beating the best of the best while the minnows of the league probably feel boring to them. On top of that, shitty teams have less to lose while teams like the Spurs, Grizzlies, and Clippers realize it's critical to keep GS from getting the 1 seed.

The Clippers are a bunch of paper champion whiners, and Doc Rivers is overrated.

The Warriors are quite possibly the most fun team to watch EVER.  Steph Curry is the best shooter I've seen since Larry Bird.  Just sick. :hefdaddy :hefdaddy

Great win by the Dubs!!

I know this is how Curry plays ball, but I thought he was being a bit too causal with the ball at times. There were several careless passes, or he just forced the issue too much leading to TOs. It is ok in the regular season, but hopefully he will clean that part of his game up sooner.

Haralabos Voulgaris tweeted that the Warriors' "Death Lineup" might be the best lineup he's ever seen... And I think he's right. The only potential weakness it has - a small guy at center who could be exploited by a great post player - is so easily made up for with their incredible ball pressure (makes it hard to enter the ball in the post) and speed (can double team and recover easily). That group is insane.
