Spurs just re-signed Ginobli, and just signed David West at a veteran minimum of 1.5 million.

Duncan, Parker, Green, Kawhi, Aldridge with Manu, West, Mills, and Diaw coming off the bench? We're going to be dangerous. Can the season start already?

This is definitely the deepest lineup in the league. The Dubs' title defending tour is a tough one before the season even get started!

Agreed, but I think they're not done yet. Pop likes a 10 or 11 man rotation so I wouldn't be surprised if someone else joined the show, specially since Manu won't be playing as many minutes as he did last season.

Man, the DJ last minute indecision and return to the Clippers is baaaaad! A bitch move! Worse than the infamous D12's "Opt-in or not to opt-in, and then regretted about it" debacle. From now on verbal commitment means nothing. No one can trust anyone in the league

Word too is that many teams around the league are pissed at the Clippers for doing this, since it violates the spirit of the unwritten rule.  I usually scoff at unwritten rules, especially in baseball, but in this case, it was very poor form.

Jordan isn't the first player to pull this, but the fact that he did this while not even replying to calls or texts from Mark Cuban or his buddy Chandler Parsons just means he is gutless.  I guess the NBA has a new villain now.

Some NBA front office people have mentioned this in the past, and I think it is a valid point, in light of the DeAndre Jordan situation - the NBA needs to change one of their free agency rules - either open the free agency period after they have come up with the salary cap number for the upcoming season, or the player will have to put his signature on a contract when he agrees, without knowing the exact amount he will make (even though the uncertainty will last for only maybe a week to 10 days)......

And it seems they'll land Ray McCallum from the Kings for a second round draft pick. Way to go Spurs!

I don't see why. Teams can try to convince players as much as they want and that shouldn't be a problem. Teams should be pissed at DJ for being such an asshole.

Shitty move my Jordan. I lost a little respect there, giving someone your word means nothing anymore. It's alright. We will just watch the Clippers get their hopes up and fail again next season.

It goes without saying that the NBA's process is deeply flawed, which allows something like this to happen.

Mark Cuban totally undressed Chris Broussard the last few days.  Not like he had much credibility anyway, but it's pretty much shot now.  Typical reporter though, throwing tons of shit up against the wall and seeing what sticks. His mistake was forgetting that Mark Cuban is not a patsy.

Did you guys watch any of the LV Summer League games? I really like that big guy from France, Lauvergne, for the Nuggets!! He moves very well for his size, and he seems to have pretty high basketball IQ.

Something tells me Pacers fans must love us very much for taking Hibbert off their hands... oh, and you know what? I will still watch our games... and beeyatch about us losing.   :loser:  :yeahright  :tdwn  :(

Super late to the party, but you guys deserve credit for actually making a good trade.  The Lakers aren't doing anything this year anyway, so why not give up virtually nothing for one of the best rim defenders in the league?  The biggest issue with Hibbert is that he isn't fast, but you guys don't play uptempo anyway.

And please take care of Brandon Bass.  He deserves it.

Ok, all jokes aside (if you guys haven't noticed, I love making fun of my team ), I am actually looking forward to watching Bass to play along with Randle. I can picture Hibbert and Bass would be starting, with Randle coming off the bench for the PF spot while Bass either slide to the C or something. We will be mobile enough and more watchable.

On the other hand, while I kind of miss J-Hill, Hibbert in the middle IS an upgrade over what we've got over the past 3 seasons or so, even if he lays an egg like he did with the Pacers last year. Still, I believe Kobe will work his a$$ and he won't get too lazy in hope for a decent contract next summer.

D-Loading won't produce right away, or at least based on his performances in the Summer League; I do not think he will make an impact immediately anyway. Long term though, he will be pretty good and I am loving Clarkson at the PG or SG spot. If Kobe can play in 60-65 games this season? We will maaaaaaybe good enough to challenge for the #8 spot. Making the playoffs or not, we should be much more fun to watch... or so I hope.

Can you guys believe the FIRST pre-season game of the year is tonight in LA? The Nuggets @ Clippers to be exact. I might tune in to watch a few minutes of it, but I won't expect much out of any pre-season game.  :hat

The Bulls-Cavs game was fun, although both teams looked rusty. The Warriors game was just silly. Steph Curry is ridiculous.

I'm so pumped for the Spurs this season! All the big pieces back, and we have L.A. and David West on the team. Kawhi got paid. Danny Green was shooting lights out during preseason. The Big Three are healthy. Tonight is first big test against OKC. Say what you want about them last year, but I'll never question how dangerous Durant and Westbrook can be. That being said, GO SPURS GO!

- Kawhi was an absolute beast last night. He's such a defensive monster, really one of the best I've ever seen. And his offense looked awesome as well.

- Almost died of a heart attack when Carol went down during the 1st quarter of last night's Pacers-Raptors game. Was equally as happy when he came back!

- Still not quite sure how the Cavs won by 30 on the second night of a back-to-back, especially against Memphis. Their bench looks pretty good so far.

C's looked good against a bad team.  They will be a 5 or 6 seed.  I'd like to see them make it at least to the second round this year.  No marque players though to get them over the hump to be a top 10 team though.
