What would it be?  You have 3 hours max.  For the encore you can put in whatever you want, it doesn't count towards the time limit.

Metropolis Pt 1
Regression
Overture
About to Crash
Erotomania
Voices
The Silent Man
The Mirror
The Glass Prison
This Dying Soul
The Root of All Evil
Repentance
The Shattered Fortress
Lie
About to Crash (Reprise)
Losing Time/Grand Finale
One Last Time
Finally Free

Encore: Octavarium

I think this set up would be pretty cool.

Npiazza91, that setlist would be tremendous.  Although I do not like the Repentance portion of the AA suite, that would be the perfect time for my pee break.  Although I am not crazy about Octavarium, which started a shit storm on this board, it would enable me to help beat the traffic, and I wouldn't feel screwed if I had seen a three hour performance prior to that.

Clocks in right around 3 hours, plus the encore. I don't think I can put together a better set than that for me, unless there was no time restraint.

Only album that didn't make the cut was FII due to running out of time.

I hope no one minds, but I have two different versions. This is because they would probably be promoting a new album, so the first version includes some new music. There are some exceptions, but for the most part I tried to stay away from things they did on the last couple of tours. Also, in both cases I tried to pit together a set that reflects the band's entire catalogue.

Version 1.0>

SET ONE:
1) New Song  (fastest, heaviest song from the new album, probably the first track, 6-7 min.)
2) The Ones Who Help to Set the Sun
3) The Silent Man (Live Scenes or "electric" version)
4) Another New Song (something a lot more "proggy" this time, about 8-9 min.)
5) Just Let Me Breathe
6) Piano/Keyboard Solo / One Last Time (7-8 min. total)
7) Ballad, or slower or "mellower" song from the new album
8) Along for the Ride
9) About to Crash
10) Instrumental Track from the New Album, expanded to include solos by Myung and Petrucci (12-15 min.)
11) Metropolis

I got this crazy idea: instead of having a regular intermission,  why not have a comedian take the stage and perform for about 20-30 min.!

SET TWO:
1) Another New Song (9-10m min.)
2) Enigma Machine / Drum Solo (A holdover from the last tour, I know!)
3) As I Am
4) Forsaken
5) A Rite of Passage
6) Lost Not Forgotten
7) The Enemy Inside
8) Longest or "Epic" Song from the New Album (18-22 min.)

ENCORE:
1) To Live Forever
2) Pull Me Under
3) The Root of All Evil

Version 2.0>
So...if they don't have a new album to promote, but wanted to commemorate a certain couple of anniversaries, it might go something like this:

SET ONE:
1) Surrender to Reason
2) The One Who Help to Set the Sun
3) The Silent Man (Same Version)
4) A Change of Seasons (Not where most people would put it, I know, but I like to stay chronological for the most part.)
5) Just Let Me Breathe
6) Piano/Keyboard Solo / One Last Time
7) About to Crash
8) As I am
9) Metropolis

SET TWO:
1) Outcry
2) Enigma Machine / Drum Solo
3) Octavarium
4) Forsaken
5) A Rite of Passage
6) Lost Not Forgotten
7) Behind the Veil

SAME ENCORE: Live / Pull / Root
I can't stop the world from turning around, or the pull of the moon on the tide, but I don't believe that we're in this alone, I believe we're along for the ride...

If you were in DT and you had full control over the live setlist...
I'd make sure that the setlists were rotating! Besides that, I don't necessarily have any particular favorites I want to see, aside from the songs I haven't seen live yet. Between those and some older classics that are changed up (ala Caught in Alice's Nine Inch Tool Garden, Surrounded '07, The Killing Hand '96, etc.) I'll be a happy camper.
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

Set One:
False Awakening Suite (Intro Tape)
Surrender To Reason
Another Hand
The Killing Hand
---James Hello---
Status Seeker
Behind The Veil
Repentance
The Great Debate
Disappear

---intermission---

The Bigger Picture
Raw Dog
---James introduces Falling Into Infinity Section of the Set---
Anna Lee
Take Away My Pain
You Not Me
Burning My Soul
Hell's Kitchen
Through Her Eyes
Only A Matter of Time
---ENCORE---
Far From Heaven
The Best of Times

All songs I have yet to see in concert. Lots of WDADU (which I love) and FII (which they don't really play).
I don't want MP playing with DT unless they were making a drummer change. If they let MM go and bring back MP, then fine, but no guest appearance please.

Going with a 30th anniversary set list, and using their current template as a base, with the slight tweaking of going out of chronological order in the encore, and expanding it to "Evening With..." length, I'd go with:

A Fortune in Lies
Take the Time
Surrounded
Erotomania
Voices
Anna Lee
Home
The Spirit Carries On
About to Crash (reprise)
Losing Time/Grand Finale

As I Am
In the Name of God
Panic Attack
The Dark Eternal Night
The Count of Tuscany
This Is the Life
Bridges in the Sky
Behind the Veil

Couple of things I wouldn't include, but overall, that's a hell of a setlist.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Agreed with Kev's list mostly, IMO these songs are overdue:

A Change of Seasons
Learning to Live
In the Name of God
Erotomania
Voices
The Great Debate

I realized just now that most of those are the "deleted scenes" from the Live Scenes DVD. What a setlist that was.

IMO these songs are overdue:

A Change of Seasons
Learning to Live
In the Name of God
Erotomania
Voices
The Great Debate

Well Learning to Live and The Great Debate got some attention in the pre ADTOE tour, and Voices has been played a lot in the past including somewhat recently(ish), though I'm happy for this to come back anyway as it's one of my favourites. I completely agree that In the Name of God and A Change of Seasons are overdue to be played though. And no playing parts of ACOS isn't good enough and doesn't count. :lol

The Test That Stumped Them All
Enigma Machine
Prophets of War
