Prog Rock with Charles Hazelwood on BBC Radio
« on: May 26, 2015, 04:52:52 AM »
Not sure if others around here saw or heard any of this, but this is a new documentary/interview series with Charles Hazelwood who is a classical music composer. He's been exploring progressive rock (pretty much music from the 60's and 70's) each Monday, the last 3 weeks. The series is 4 parts, so there's 1 more episode/week left. But the 1st 3 episodes are up on BBC Radio 2 website to stream for a limited time.

Part 1 with Bill Bruford

Part 2 with Tony Banks

Part 3 with John Wetton

Thanks. I'm listening now.
"Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are God. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are God.” — Christopher Hitchens

Never expected to see "radio" and "prog" on the same sentence. And surely not on BBC! Will listen to these, thanks

The interviews are great. So is the candor.  Didn't really take much of a chance on the music, but it is the BBC I guess. Not comprehensive by any means, but it was a fun listen.

Bruford and Anderson (Ian) were my favorites, but they've always seemed to take the bigger picture into account.
