Even if I'm not the only fan of the following bands, I can pretty much guarantee I am certainly the biggest here:

-Seventh Wonder

I only have Mercy Falls, but it is fantastic.

I've heard all 3 albums, but I think Mercy Falls is the best. I actually think it's probably the best album I've heard in at least a year, new release or not. See my avatar for proof of infatuation.

Even if I'm not the only fan of the following bands, I can pretty much guarantee I am certainly the biggest here:

-Vanishing Point

I have all their albums, which are a pain to get in the states.

Threshold

Ditto, including live albums, although not hard to get in the states.

I'd like to add:
Demons & Wizards - first album especially
Gordian Knot - Two of my top 10 instrumental albums
Henning Pauly & all his side projects - amazing stuff, JLB sings on his Babysteps album, and his first Frameshift album
Ice Age - Good ol' Magna Carta label prog rock band that changed their name and tried to sell out, and then sucked...
Royal Hunt - particularly the D.C. Cooper years.  Currently the singer for Silent Force
The Tangent reminicent of 70s prog.  Good chill music.
Tiles - Think Rush, with a more conventional sounding voice.  Alex Lifeson did a cameo on their last album
Tony MacAlpine - Amazing guitar player, Maximum Security is my second favorite instrumental album (LTE1 is #1 for reference)
Warrel Dane - Very good album from Nevermore singer.  Check it out if you like Nevermore
White Zombie - groove metal at its finest
Wuthering Heights - Scandanavian prog metal

Yeah, Vanishing Point albums are far from easy to get. I'm still missing the debut. The other 3 are all pretty damn amazing in my opinion. I consider them one of the most underrated bands out there.
I also love Royal Hunt. It's kind of funny because stylistically I'd say John West is actually my favorite vocalist they've had, but my favorite albums are the two with DC Cooper and the new one with Mark Boals. Another band which is criminally underrated for how much great material they have. I am absolutely heartbroken to be missing their ProgPower USA appearance this year.
Also, Wuthering Heights are pretty excellent. I haven't been into them all that long but I picked up Far From the Madding Crowd maybe 6 months ago and I love it.

Heh, I claimed Royal Hunt in the "Bands you are the biggest fan of on the forum" thread, so you certainly aren't alone on that one. I'm also a fan of The Tangent and Tiles.

Forgot Avantasia - The Scarecrow is my favorite by far.

I really love all 3 Avantasia albums. The Scarecrow is a brilliant melodic metal opus though, as opposed to the traditional cheesy power metal of the first two. Jorn lande's performance on The Scarecrow is god-like. I'm so anxiously awaiting Pt. 2, which is still supposedly due out by the end of this year.

-Tad Morose

We have a thread for biggest fan, as for only fan, of them you are not. :p

Fair To Midland

I have their debut album, and although I don't love it there are certain things about this band I'm a big fan of, and other things not so much, either way, I'm a kinda fan. :)

no-man - never seen another fan around here, but they make wonderful music

Another one that I'm kinda 50/50 on. The production and mix and pure sound bliss of the album I have is on another level, but the music does lose me at times.

Threshold

Love Threshold, especially the live DVD.

Now aren't I glad I trudged all the way back through this thread just for that? :lol

What's your favourite WZ album?

I know it's their most famous one, but I have to go with La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume 1 because it was one of the first metal bands I discovered on my own.  That, and Black Sunshine is one of the greatest driving songs ever.
I would have to go with Astro-Creep: 2000. Such a good album, and Super-Charger Heaven alone makes it a badass album.
I felt its length in quite a few places.

They're a local alternative band started by three high school buddies, and last year I was their stand-in drummer.

Do you have the album of outtakes/bsides etc?  Looks interesting.
Well, I don't have it, but from downloading the Drive and Birds B-Sides and getting the Bonus Disc version of Beautiful Collision, I've heard most of it already. It's basically what you'd expect of a B-Sides album, some great, some not so great.

I can understand what you say, especially from your musical background, you know, the more metal-side of DT, as opposed to the more prog-side of DT that I like.
But the way they actually sound, is wonderful.
Still looking for a true fan then.

Oh and Gordian Knot is great, I'm a fan too!

Esperanza Spalding- She's this pretty good latin jazz bassist, good singing voice, and quite cute to boot.

John Lee Hooker- I discovered this old Blues cd in my dad's CD collection the other day and it was a pleasant surprise.

Kenzo Digital - Kenzo's actually some arts director or w/e but he made this hour long hip hop epic that weaves all these different samples into a great story about growing up on the mean streets.

I'm also going to assume I might be the only New Order fan on here. I've heard them described as '80s synth pop', which does the trick, I guess. Most people would know their biggest song, Blue Monday.

I only have a Best Of, but it's bloody good, although I prefer the stuff off their early albums to Technique and Republic. I'll be branching out into album territory at some point.
