I *LOVE* that guy!  I think he's absolutely one of the best frontmen from the entire hair metal genre!!  (though, I have never met him personally)

EDIT:  His rant at the end of Yeah Yeah Yeah is absolutely ICONIC.   It's been sounding a bit "rehearsed" lately...but the version from Kix Live is one of the coolest things I've ever heard in my life.

Oh absolutely, he's a fantastic frontman, without question and still is.  They headline Friday night at the M3 festival every year.  I've done openers for his other band, Funny Money.  He's a bit of a douche.  I could be wrong though, maybe it was just the one time or two that I saw him, but I'm fairly confident that it wasn't just me.     A couple years ago, WASP headlined M3 on Friday night.  Basically if they couldn't headline, they weren't gonna play.  SW couldn't help himself but to make smart remarks about it on stage about how they always headline and weren't that year.

Then WASP came on and made everyone forget whoever had just been on stage.

Early 2000's, my Kiss tribute Cold Gin did a show with BLS.  Zakk was an extremely nice guy and cool to hang with.  His ability to drink is nearly legendary.

I liked a handful of their songs, mostly from Start Something. I have a good friend who invited me to her place in about 2010 or 11 and we got rotten drunk and played each other's favourite bands to each other. She gushed over Lostprophets. She was quite heartbroken when the dude pleaded guilty.

In an effort to keep this thread super light, a few more names that come to mind, but no-one else has mentioned:

Euronymous and Vikernes of Mayhem. Euronymous drove his friend and bandmate, Dead, to suicide, then, upon discovering the body, bought a throwaway camera, took photos of the body before calling the police, and used the picture as the cover of the band's first album. Vikernes then went on to stab Euronymous to death. Both men were also involved in burning down churches throughout Norway.

Charlie Manson has released music while in prison. I listened to some of the tracks from his first album on youtube out of curiosity, and I thought they were surprisingly good.

Dave Mustaine is crazy. He's a crazy person. He's not a bad person, though, in my opinion. He means well—he even has a lot of goodwill for Het and Lars these days. He's just crazy, which leads to stuff like the whole "all these shootings are part of a government conspiracy" thing.

I don't blame anyone if they don't like him because of that, but it doesn't make him a bad person. He means the best for everyone (everyone except the New World Order, I suppose?), and he's not seriously hurting anyone by accident. So, to me, that adds up to "mostly harmless, well-meaning crazy," not "bad person."

That's a fair point.  Motley Crue can be pretty disdainable, at times, except for Mick Mars he's the good one, and you include the fact that Neil inadvertently killed someone while he was drunk driving, along with any other legal troubles that there is, there's a section of legal troubles in his wiki, he's pretty much hateable.  If only there was actually a legit fight between Axl Rose and Vince Neil.  At least, we would have gotten to see/hear the pleasure of one of them get beaten up.

He is really mentally unstable. Their keyboarplayer Jens Johansson is pretty wierd too. He took a leak (check out the pics if you don´t believe me)  on Tolkki on stage in the middle of the concert.

Jens auditioned for DT when Kevin Moore left. I am not surprised if his antics where the main reason they picked Sherinian instead.
