are you serious or am I being punked?

Oh. You said HYF and I thought you meant something OTHER than the album cover. No, the symbol on his drums is a literal circle with a dot in the middle. Not three dots, or circles, or spheres - just one circle, one dot in the middle, and it looks like a two-dimensional boob.

Great show in Atlanta last night. My first  outdoor concert in 15 years. I refrained from looking at the set list prior to the show and glad I did.  So satisfying to hear songs I have not heard live.  The combination of the set list and great sound made this a top 3 concert ever for me.

I was at the Atlanta show as well, and the boys we're freaking amazing -- especially that 2nd set run from MP through 2112.

Favorite whole song was probably "Xanadu"

Favorite moment though was leading up to the big guitar solo in "2112: Overture" -- when me and my brother looked at one another and started jamming the solo in unison...

A great night!

So, are we not seeing any more trade-out songs?   Not complaining...just seems like we were half-expecting a 3 or 4 set rotation with about 6-7 songs being traded out...and so far it seems like we're just getting a standard A/B setlist with about 4 songs (?) being traded out.    Is that about right so far?

No, there are 3 setlists: A, B, and C.  Something like 8 songs are not being played every night.

The "B" set is easily my favorite, and as am currently set to get it at 2 of my 4 shows. REALLY hope nothing fucks up the rotation.

Looks like I'll be getting one show with a set B and one with a set C, which is a really nice lineup.  Set A is my least favorite of them anyway, but they're all pretty great.

The band killed it last night in Greensboro. I didn't look at any set lists beforehand and was thrilled with what they played. I was so surprised they played so much old stuff, particularly A Farewell to Kings material. Xanadu -> 2112 was insane and should have been illegal as half the crowd almost died from the awesomeness.

Looking ahead to the rumored recording of the Toronto shows, they'll be playing the B and C setlists (if they continue their pattern), and of the two, I'm willing to bet that the MAIN show will be the C set, which includes 3 songs from PEW and 3 songs from HEMI, and is the longer of the 3 sets. With that in mind, I'm hoping they release the B set-only songs as bonus tracks on the DVD and CD sets, and I figured the 3CD set will look something like this...

Disc 1 ~ 60-65 mins (1st Set)
 1. The Anarchist
 2. Clockwork Angels
 3. Headling Flight (w/Drumbastica)
 4. Far Cry
 5. The Main Monkey Business
 6. One Little Victory
 7. Animate
 8. Roll The Bones
 9. Distant Early Warning
10. Subdivisions
11. Losing It (Maybe? Here or before Subdivisions, or in place of...)

Disc 2 ~ 74 mins (2nd Set)
 1. Tom Sawyer
 2. YYZ
 3. The Spirit Of Radio
 4. Natural Science
 5. Jacob's Ladder
 6. Cygnus X-1, Book 2: Hemispheres (Prelude)
 7. Cygnux X-1, Book 1: The Voyage (Prologue, Drum Solo, 3)
 8. Closer To The Heart
 9. Xanadu
10. 2112 (Overture, The Temples Of Syrinx, Presentation, Grand Finale)

Disc 3 ~ 44-50 mins (Encore & Bonus Tracks)
 1. Lakeside Park
 2. Anthem
 3. What You're Doing
 4. Working Man (w/Garden Road teaser)
 5. The Wreckers
 6. How It Is
 7. Between The Wheels
 8. The Camera Eye
 9. Red Barchetta (Maybe?)

The first and 2nd discs could be a little longer if they perform "Losing It" and include the Set A-only track "Red Barchetta" (although no big loss if RB isn't included).

Either way, it would be AMAZING if they released all 30 of these songs on the eventual live album.

Based on the many reviews I am reading of shows, their week off after tonight couldn't come at a better time.  Many are saying that Alex just looks in pain up there (his hands are really bothering him, apparently) and not having fun.  I noticed he wasn't as animated and silly as usual at our show, and ours was only the 4th show of the damn tour.  I hate to say it, but I suspect he cannot wait until August 2nd.  :(

I actually came in to post that I have been listening to the St. Paul boot NON STOP! A great show.
Neil is playing great. Very impressed. The vocals are a train wreck though, but I can deal with it. Playing wise, the band is smoking!

Interestingly, I am seeing a lot of people online talking about how many mistakes Alex is making.  I mentioned the other day that I thought he didn't look as relaxed as usual, and I am guessing the arthritis in his hands is really bothering him.  I cant imagine trying to play all of that material for nearly 3 hours every other night when your hands are hurting like that (or in the case of Neil, his shoulder).

I cannot vouch for the historical sense of Alex's playing live; not that big of a fan. He sounded fine to me at the Cbus show. I will say energy wise, he was pretty reserved, and Geddy was very engaged as per his norm. I think if there is one member who gets the most joy out of touring, it's him at least appearance wise.

I think Losing It is a fantastic song. But am I the only one that thinks given the nature of this tour, that it'd be depressing as hell for them to play? I mean, not even bittersweet. Just plain sad.

Are you kidding me?  I'll be a blubbering idiot if they play this at MSG for those exact reasons.

I've  pretty much considered this tour to be a huge celebration, but that song will be a complete 180 for me.

'twas an amazing show.  The did setlist A on Wednesday, and a combo of B/C last night - 1st half set was B (How it Is, Between the Wheels; 2nd half set was C (YYZ, Natural Science).  They dropped The Wreckers though to fit in Losing It.  Cygnus-x1.net has the new setlist up.  Reeeeaaaly hoping we get Setlist A tomorrow in Montreal, thus my life will be complete (Red Barchetta and Xanadu are my top 2 Rush songs by a fair margin).

Gonna be a great DVD.

Hmmm, so The Camera Eye wasn't played at either Toronto show.  Interesting.

Hopefully, Losing It is part of the regular concert part of the eventual Blu-Ray/DVD and not just one of the bonus cuts.

Neither was "The Wreckers". I kind of hope that both tracks get recorded and tacked onto the end of the 3CD set as extras, in addition to including all the tracks from both Toronto shows. Here's my ideal 3CD set:
Disc 1 ~ 57 minutes
The Anarchist
Headlong Flight
Far Cry
The Main Monkey Business
How It Is
Animate
Roll The Bones
Between the Wheels
Losing It (with Ben Mink)
Subdivisions

Disc 2 ~ 65 minutes
Tom Sawyer
YYZ
The Spirit of Radio
Natural Science
Jacob's Ladder
Cygnus X-1 Book Two: Hemispheres - Prelude
Cygnus X-1 Book One: The Voyage
Closer To The Heart
Xanadu
2112 ( I - II - IV - VII)

Disc 3 ~ 55 minutes
Lakeside Park
Anthem
What You're Doing
Working Man (Garden Road riff at the end)
Clockwork Angels
One Little Victory
Distant Early Warning
Red Barchetta
The Wreckers
The Camera Eye

Hopefully, Losing It is part of the regular concert part of the eventual Blu-Ray/DVD and not just one of the bonus cuts.

Considering how much of a milestone this performance is, I doubt they will relegate it to bonus material status. It's likely a one-off performance, at theur home show, on a huge anniversary tour. It'll definitely be a showcase for the live release, if not a huge draw for fans, hardcore or even casual.
