Ouija:origin of evil 3/5.

This was actually a pretty good movie.......until the last twenty minutes which just screams studio interference. The first 2/3rds of this movie I really enjoyed. It was well acted for the most part and it was well directed. Its a shame that the last 20 minutes happened the way they did otherwise i'd give it a 4/5.

Yeah I've heard that that one is much better than the first. Will probably check it out at some point.

The last boyscout, from 91 when Bruce Willis still gave a damn. A little on the wacky side, but still a better Die hard Movie than 4 and 5.

Top 20 movie of all time for me.  Love that one.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

I love both Die Hard 1 and and 3, but part 3 wins with me because of the hilarious interplay between willis and Jackson. I laugh my ass off every time.

I'm a big fan of the Die Hard series, but I've never bothered with part 5.  In December a local movie theater played the original Die Hard on the big screen, so that was very cool to see.  The place erupted when Hans Gruber first showed up and it was pretty funny hearing the drunken zingers throughout the movie.

I would rank the Die Hard series as they played out, with the first one being the best and then so on.

Yeah I definitely prefer With A Vengeance to Die Harder.

Die Hard 4.0 was not as good as 3 but it was miles better than 5.

In Die Hard 5 he's basically an immortal superman.

I thought part 4 was ok, but it just seemed to be too much CGI.  And part 5 seemed even more.  I'll stick with the first 3.

I also will stick with the first 3.   Part 4 and 5 totally lost the tone and feel of what made the first 3 so great.

I think 4, in theory, had a lot of potential.

The idea of a cyber terrorist who is causing mayhem as a means of showing the government how badly their system is set up, but takes things too far, is actually really cool.

Sadly they made him a typical bad guy instead and had McClain killing helicopters with cars.

Still only seen the first Die Hard and thought it was pretty fun. I heard With a Vengence is really good too so I wanna give that one a shot but I'm not really feeling like I want to see 2, 4, or 5.

Snowden (2016): 7/10

Loved this movie. It's currently my #3 from 2016.

I think thats a great way of putting it and I agree.  The tone and feel of the first three were gone with part 4 and I assume part 5.

I read that part 6 is still in the works possibly.  From what I remember, it will have Bruce but will include flashbacks to someone playing the part of a younger John.  I may check that out depending on how it turns out.

This.  1 & 2 are god-tier.  I never really did care much for 3.  I liked the technological aspect of 4.  5 is the kind of movie that actors do just to pay the bills.

One of my favorite scenes in Die Hard 1 is when John is basically running for his life but he is still easily distracted by the nudie pic on the wall. That always cracks me up.

I was a big fan of the series with parts 1 and 3 being my favorites. I did really enjoy part 4 as well. Since I enjoyed all the movies I thought part 5 would be a safe bet. I even paid extra to see it on a bigger imax screen which came out to more than the price of a 3D movie. Turned out to be money really poorly spent.

Like I said before - bro and I went to see Die Hard 5 knowing full well it would be abysmal as the writer and director were basically nobodies...

It wasn't even a so bad it's good movie. It's just BAD.

At the end - he jumps out of a glass window - falls like 50 feet through more glass into a swimming pool and walks away with just a few cuts.

One of my movie peeves is when people are dropping left and right but the protagonist is seemingly invulnerable.

Die Hard 5 sucks hard.

That it does. As someone else said - it doesn't feel like the first 3.

5 is just an ultra generic action movie. If it wasn't a Die Hard - it wouldn't have made a third of what it made.

I agree with whoever said ( not on these forums ) that it was probably a script that was hanging around - and someone put Die hard 5 on the cover then it got greenlit.

Also - in the Half In The Bag review - Mike basically says that the films go :

1. Building
2. Airport
3. City
4. East America
5. RUSSIA

Die hard 6 will be " John McClane is trapped on planet earth " :lol

...Actually I just looked up Die Hard 4 and it was originally not a Die Hard script.

I dont think any of them except for maybe part 2 were originally written as die hard sequels lol.

I know the original script for part 3 was called simon says and was almost turned into a Lethal weapon movie until it was decided to turn it into a die hard sequel.

I've heard that part 1 was originally written as Commando 2 for Arnold. Once he turned it down, they rewrote the script and hired Bruce

Saw Logan last night, and what a movie. More superhero movies should be rated R, it was violent but it wasn't completely over the top. I can't wait to see it again.

Supposedly everyone was told that Rickman would be released on the count of 3.  They then released Rickman on 2, without telling him, and it was a 25-foot drop (onto foam cushions and stuff, but still).  So the look of surprise on his face is real.

That was probably intentional.

They did something similar in GoodFellas. In the scene after Henry gets out of jail and Paulie is threatening him about not get mixed up selling drugs again, Paulie slaps him in the face. That slap wasn't scripted but he threw it in there to get a genuine reaction from Ray Liotta.
