I watched the first 15 minutes of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and had to turn it off. I don't mind if a plot is a little hard to follow but this took it to a new level.
I remember being so excited to see this when I first saw the trailer many years ago, but I never got around to it.
I've been considering watching it on Netflix for a while now, but I've read many reviews similar to yours, so I keep holding off.
On a more positive note, I enjoyed both "Lucky Number Slevin" and "Dragon" for the first time over the weekend.
"Lucky Number Slevin" is a comedic crime film that's flashy and has several twists. It's not as good as Tarantino's best, but I found it to be about as enjoyable as Guy Ritchie's "Lock, Stock..." and "Snatch." Recommended if you like the genre.
"Dragon" is a martial arts film that takes place in 1917 China. It's not too heavy on the action, and it has a heavy dose of CSI and a plot similar to "A History of Violence." I wasn't the biggest fan of "Ip Man," which also stars Donnie Yen, but I liked his character in "Dragon" a lot more. A fun ride. If you can handle subtitled films, give it a shot.
