Of course I was serious.

The Donner films were silly, and poor adaptations of the source material, featuring a Lex Luthor not to be taken seriously, relying on bumbling sidekicks.

Superman III & IV are among the worst films ever made.

Superman Returns is a poor effort as well, relying overmuch on the silly Donner mythology (but adding Superman Jr) instead of taking the opportunity to forge a new beginning.

Man of Steel was, well, what it was.

Aside from Man of Steel, I haven't seen any other full Superman movie. Based on what little I've seen, I'm ok with this.

Just finished Skyfall. Excellent Bond movie, although I can't decide which one's my favorite, Skyfall or Casino Royal. Both are awesome.

I agree.  The second trailer is out for Spectre and it looks great.

Saw that yesterday too... and it's got me even more excited for it.

I haven't seen the new trailer, and I'm considering trying to avoid it this time. I'm already excited after Skyfall, so I don't need any convincing to go and see this one.

I saw the first teaser a few months back, but I won't see the new trailer. I want to see Spectre with a completely unknowing and open mind.

I saw the teaser too, although it didn't give away much at all, and I've forgotten it anyway. :lol I remember I liked what I saw though.

Casino Royale for me 100%.

Not that Skyfall didn't feel like a Bond movie.  It was "trying" to be. I just thought that Casino Royale was a lot better in the script, pacing and direction.

It's kind of hard to explain - but Casino Royale felt like a true classic James Bond film whilst Skyfall, whilst also great felt like it was an homage to a classic Bond movie.

I've given up watching trailers since they almost always give away important plot points. For me Skyfall is the favorite even though Casino Royale is almost right there.

The trailer for Terminator Genisys was a major offender there. I wonder if some of the major movie revelations would have been kept a surprise in this day and age.

Same here, I don't watch trailers at all anymore. Even if they don't give away important twists they still show parts from the movie. I don't want to see parts of the movie until I can see all of it. I don't want to see some cool scenery, a character design, jokes and lines of dialogue, or anything else, because then it won't surprise me when I see the movie.

Went to see Southpaw tonight. It's essentially Rocky III-VI all in one movie. Still entertaining, especially if you like boxing movies. Gyllenhaal gives a heck of a performance. I still say he should have been nominated for Nightcrawler

We watched a small independent film last night called Cas & Dylan.  It starred Richard Dreyfuss and Tatian Maslany (of Orphan Black fame), and was directed by Jason Priestly (his feature film directing debut).

It was just released earlier this year, but was actually filmed back in 2012 (before Orphan Black).  It's a nice little character drama/comedy.

Dreyfuss has clearly slipped a little from his heyday, but Maslany's performance is fantastic and whimsical.  We enjoyed it a lot.

Clips for the new Vacation movie look positively awful.

Not sure why, but as much as I loved his portrayal of Andy in The Office, Ed Helms just annoys me on the big screen.

I haven't even seen this movie, but I still had a nightmare once about the concept after watching a review that explained it. Or at least one of those "adult" nightmares, where it's less straight up horrifying, and more just super uncomfortable and eerie.

I only realized yesterday Sharknado 3 had aired, so I just watched that. Overall I preferred the first two, but I lost it at the last 5-10 minutes. The Hoff as an astronaut, sharks in space, lightsaber chainsaw, surviving re-entry and impact by being inside a shark, successfully giving birth inside said shark during re-entry and chainsawing your way out of the shark to pass the baby through.
I can't breathe.

Yes. :lol
The logistics are just mind-boggling. Even ignoring surviving re-entry or being able to breathe (or hanging out inside a shark), she still somehow managed to get out of her space suit and give birth while in free flight, switch to chainsaw hand, cut the umbilical cord, put her pants back on, cut through the shark, and pass the baby through in perfect health, then step out. :rollin
