Suicide Squad is easily my least favorite movie of 2016, but I do think that Deadshot/Harley/Joker are not bad portrayals of the characters, they're just in an absolute shit movie with a ridiculous story. I still believe Leto's Joker could be great if given the opportunity.

Just to jump in late on the 'worst sequel' discussion, Bill and Ted's Bogus Adventure.

I'm sure we could start an entire thread dedicated to horrible sequels... or franchises that should've quit while they were ahead.

I saw Fantastic Beasts last night and it was a great film. I was a pretty big fan of all the Harry Potter movies so I was going in expecting to like it.

Just no.

I'll say Weekend at Bernie's.

Weekend at Bernies 2 was terrible. I guess so was the original, but in a good way.

Glad to say I haven't seen any of sequels. The only one I've seen the first of is Speed.

I watched the The Godfather last night. I couldn't recall if I'd ever watched it before. Mrs. P was out of town so I thought it was high time to soak in one of the highest rated guy films of all time.

Man, it doesn't deserve its reputation. If it weren't for Pacino, Duvall and the iconic theme song, I wouldn't have been able to watch it at all. Not. Good.

Saw Ghost in the Shell the other day. Enjoyed it but didn't know much about it beforehand. It definitely made me even more excited for Cyberpunk 2077, can't wait for that game!

I remember not being overly impressed with The Godfather either, although that was a long time ago. Wouldn't say it was bad though.

No. The first one was brilliantly stupid, something akin to Napoleon Dynamite or Dude Where's My Car. The sequel might very well be the worst movie in the history of cinema.

I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.

My #1 is Raiders of the Lost Ark.  Of course, Fate of the Furious opens next week, so we'll see how that goes.

He has done some good things but I've not heard anything good about that film either.

Will Ferell - for all his shouty neediness > > > > > Anything Adam Sandler has ever done...

inb4 Punch Drunk Love - which was a Paul Thomas Anderson film - an actual film maker - not a con artist whose movies are nothing but get rich quick schemes and product placement.

I also think Spanglish and Reign Over Me were pretty good.

Click had potential too.

And of course Jack and Jill.

Not really a movie per se, but I watched Louis CK's new comedy special 2017 on Netflix last night.

LOL

If you like Louis CK, you will like it.  If you don't like him, you are a strange person and need to seek medical help.  Also, you won't like this very much.

Seven Pounds. I watch It once a month. Brilliant movie, puts life into perspective. May sound weird but it keeps me grounded, If it wasn't for this movie, I never would have donated bone marrow to a young girl that saved her life. Special movie to me if you have ever seen the movie, you can notice the box jellyfish in my pic. why I have it

Flat as in slightly lower than proper pitch, or flat as in lacking emotional depth?

This is important.

Flat as in... no vibrato. Like, at all. Her voice sounded nothing like any of the other voices.

So no training at all.  Interesting.

Well, as I said, I think she's cute, but this thing with casting people in musicals who can't sing doesn't make any effin sense to me.

I thought it worked well in Mama Mia.

Peirce and Stellan and Collin had a certain charm and authenticity with their untrained voices. I know lots of people hated it, but I loved it.

I hated it.  It's completely superficial, I admit, but just as I'd rather watch attractive people in movies as opposed to unattractive ones, I'd rather listen to people sing who can actually sing well than those who can't.
