I never considered the terms cheesy and guilty pleasure to mean the exact same thing. A guilty pleasure is something one doesn't openly admit to enjoying. As far as cheesy, I could point out dozens of instances of cheesiness that people admit to liking here - and being exceedingly vocal about it.

Little Miss Sunshine. Whacky road trip movie, for whatever reason I kept seeing it mentioned around so I had to watch it. Nothing to write home about but I don't regret seeing it.
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

I was joking. Scoring a film ridiculously low and offering no explanation :)

Ha ha, I totally forgot about Don Johnson.  Yeah that practically delegitimizes the movie right there, doesn't it?

Hey now, he was in Django Unchained, which is a terrific film.

Patriot's Day. Peter Berg's second movie of 2016 and just like Deepwater Horizon I liked it a lot. Very tense and powerful. A single moment a monologue about the power of love where it got a bit too sappy, but otherwise a very good movie.

I think the title goes to Caddyshack 2.

No way.  :lol  Granted, there is no Rodney or Bill in it. But those scenes with Dan Aykroyd are hysterical. Jackie Mason is annoying. Chevy Chase is rarely funny.

While not great like their predecessors, Airplane 2 and Caddyshack 2 are pretty good.

Speed two is a different game.

Watched the newest Ghostbusters, which was surprisingly not godawful, as the trailers made it look to be. It's still very different, and nowhere near as good as the original, but it is kinda funny at times. It's better than many other remakes and reboots (Total Recall, Conan, Jurassic World) but that's not really saying much. One thing I will knock it for is that the humor is very much of the wacky and largely improvised variety that is fairly common today, compared to the much more dry and sarcastic tone of the original. That's not necessarily bad, as long as it's funny, but some of the humor here just is not and is obnoxious at times and it goes on way too long. So it's not bad, not very good, but not a raging dumpster fire like the internet made it out to be.
6/10

Also saw Suicide Squad which was just a goddamn, complete mess of a movie with no idea of what it wanted to be. Grim and dark or more light-hearted? Serious or silly? How about all of the above? It tries for so many different things that it just ends up being a big wad of nothing. Lots of characters that don't do much of anything, a dumb plot, an absolutely godawful villain, really bland action, and a terrible Joker who is in the movie for... I don't even know why he's in this movie. He doesn't even do much other than show up occasionally to be shitty and then disappear for long stretches of time. There are a few bright-ish spots. Deadshot and Diablo are fairly interesting, the bar scene is fairly decent, and Harley's absolutely ridiculous outfit is... enjoyable. It's funny, sometimes, but most of the jokes clash with the oppressive atmosphere of the movie or just fall flat, mostly due to the shit writing.

While I agree that Suicide Squad was a mess I thought it was an entertaining mess. I also enjoyed Leto as the joker, Not a fan of how he looked though. 3/5
Do you read Sutter Cane?
