I didn't think much of it either.  I mean, it was okay, some parts were entertaining, but overall it was generic Will Smith Hollywood Schlock.  And that's just as a movie, completely beside the fact that it had nothing to do with the Asimov "I, Robot" stories, which it either tried to be, or tried not to be; it was hard to tell.  They threw Susan Calvin in there as a character, but the story was all new anyway.  Pretty blah film.

That movie sucked. It was also really contrived the way that Will Smith just played the part of Will Smith being Will Smith.
The Outer Limits did a better adaptation. Both versions. They both have Leonard Nimoy in them. That already puts them ahead. :lol

Strange, I've always liked I, Robot. It's not amazing, but a pretty entertaining watch.

I barely remember any details of that movie, it was one of the first movie I saw in the theater with my new wife. Needless to say we left very disappointed.

Saw Horrible Bosses again tonight, such a great fun movie. The dialogue is hilarious, love the cast, it's one of my favorite comedies. I actually loved the sequel as well. I know it didn't get great reviews but I loved it.

Now you're just making things up.

Seriously, was he in that movie?  I don't even remember, that's how non-memorable that film was for me.

According to imdb, he's in it, but he's pretty far down the cast list, so I assume it wasn't a huge role.

And I'm not watching it again to find out. :lol

Batman Forever

I know its got its problems, but its a guilty pleasure for me

I love Batman Forever, it's one of the first movies that I remember falling love with as a kid. I still enjoy watching it to this day and the soundtrack was great.

Yeah I didn't realise Sam Jackson was in Jurassic Park until he got really famous after Pulp Fiction. He wasn't mega famous like he is now.

The Bag Man. John Cusack and Robert DeNiro. What is it about movies in shifty motels that John Cusack is drawn to..

I haven't seen it since it was a new release, but I remember liking Room 1408. It was pretty freaky

I enjoyed that one, too. I'd expect nothing less from a Stephen King story.

Room 1408 is a great movie. It's more of a mindfuck movie than scary I thought. But I love those type of movies.

1408 is great. Fucks with my mind everytime I watch it.

Salem's Lot (1980):

Watched it for the first time today. I should've watched it a long time ago, but I'm rarely up for a 3 hour long movie. Anyway, it was great. Very creepy. Probably the creepiest vampire movie in fact. 8/10

I also rewatched It (1990). Good one. The second half is a bit boring an the ending is underwhelming, but Tim Curry as Pennywise is just fucking excellent. At times hilarious and other times super creepy (scariest looking clown ever by far) he makes the movie. 7/10

So yeah I'm rarely up for a 3 hour long movie, but today I was up for 2 lol.

Finished the year with a few movies. Julie & Julia and caught the ending to Terminator and Ferris Bueller's day off while waiting for the ball to drop. Happy new year everyone!

Yep, that's a great movie.
I saw Pulp Fiction last night, again. One of my all time favorites. And also, When Harry met Sally... for the first time because it's kind of New Year's Eve movie. It's really good film, not cheesy at all, and I love when romantic movies aren't cheesy.

A lot of comedians make good actors too.

Robin Williams especially.

Psychological movies are my favorites  :heart

And speaking of Robin Williams, I just re-watched What dreams may come. A very interesting film and visually stunning.

I always thought that The Truman Show was one of, if not the best, performance by Jim Carey.  Very good movie.

And the movie "It" just terrified me as a kid.  I've heard that its getting a remake this year too.

Better than Ace Ventura?!?!?!

Seriously though, I'll always put Man on the Moon as best Carey performance, Truman is up there though.

Monsters University was on tv today. First time i'd seen it.

5/10. Maybe 6/10

Wasn't much to it. Wasn't very funny. A few snorts. No big laughs. Sorta dragged a bit. Just sorta happened and then it ended.

Truly terrifying. Human nature and psychology continues to fascinate and disappoint me

That is an amazing movie and truly baffling when you think "why would ANYONE sign up for that?" Obviously they sort of answer the question but it's a wondrous exploration into how truly powerful some cults are.

Watched Supermensch: The Legend Of Shep Gordon and I highly recommend it. It's the story of Shep Gordon who was a manager for so many different celebrities across a ton of different fields throughout the 70s-00s. He pretty much made Alice Cooper into Alice Cooper amongst some other very famous acts. The guy is super likeable as well so it's a fairly heart warming and very funny documentary, which is made by Mike Myers. Just a great piece about a great human being almost none of us have heard of.

Watched Some Kind of Monster, the Metallica documentary after a very long time. I think I'm watching it after at least 10 years. Very well made and never felt long even with the 2hr 20 mins run time. It was interesting to revisit the band's mindset right after Jason left and all the uncertainty surrounding them at the time. The therapist definitely seems like an odd presence for a band this big and the band themselves seem to be 50/50 about it. In hindsight I'd love to know what the band think now of the therapist's usage at the time. It seemed like James was really the one who needed help the most with not having a father figure in his own life and all the personal shit he was going through at the time.
