And it's not a Japanese movie?!

Started watching Suicide Squad, didn't finish it because I fell a sleep.  :-\

Just finished the force awakens for the first time. I was long overdo, I really enjoyed it. I'd rank it over episode 1 & 2 but not sure if I'd rank it over episode 3

Just watched Nightcrawler.

This is not the type of movie I usually enjoy, but this one was a bit interesting.  I will leave out what I found interesting because it would be a mild spoiler.

Just watched Arrival, and I have to say, I was really impressed. Definitely not your typical "aliens land on Earth" movie, but so the better for it. The romantic aspect was pretty sappy, but other than that, it was an excellent movie. The aliens were beautifully done and the story, while obviously a little unrealistic, worked gets well and was internally consistent. I'd definitely recommend it.

Rogue One. Loved it. Topped TFA for me, which I like less and less upon reflection.

Also I think Jingle All the Way should be necessary holiday viewing for everyone.

I liked the all star cast, from Col. Mustard to Bull, but other than enjoying picking out all of the actors I found no joy in watching it.

That one was a welcome surprise for me as well.  I really had no urge to watch it, but somebody talked me into it about a month ago.  Very enjoyable.

I really need to see that again... my cousin rented it and we watched it together when I was just a kid, and I found it hilarious even back then...

Jason Bourne

Bummer. For me, easily the weakest, least required of any of them.  Until now it's been The Bourne Legacy which wasn't even that bad.  I kinda liked it, and in principle I kinda felt like I shouldn't.  But they made it work.  Okay, no they didn't, but it was fun anyway.

This didn't work.  This was stupid.  There are about five things I could tick off without even thinking about it, and ten more if I did, but that wouldn't be the point.  Also, they'd all be spoilers, as if you care.  The point is that the movie kinda sucked, and that's really the first time I've ever said that about a Bourne movie, not even close.

Yes. That's a good movie, but that little kid is fucking annoying. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern make that movie awesome.

What an awesome movie. It plays right into my fascination with hitmen. Good discussion that I'll be starting a thread for actually.

I didn't think the new Bourne movie sucked, but it was a bit boring and uninteresting.

Besides being boring and uninteresting, there were just so many stupid things about it, and so many things they didn't do that they could/should have done.

"Use SQL to corrupt their database."  I'm sorry, but what the fuck?

"There's a phone in the room.  I'll use that to hack the laptop."  Again, seriously?  Is this fucking <Scorpion/>?

The SWAT truck plows through dozens of cars, knocking some of them 10 feet into the air, and literally does not have a dent or scratch on it?

No Pamela Landy, or Noah Vosen, or anyone else from the first three films, no mention of them at all, even though they were all alive last we knew?  Oh yeah, they brought Nicki back, but they took care of that issue right away, right?  Shit.  All those implications from before, about their history, etc., and now we'll never get any clarification.  And that still could have been what set him off, the catalyst for all this, but instead it was all about his dad.

No breathing room.  No time to slow down and even begin to give a shit about any of the characters, just wall-to-wall action scenes unlike any of the previous Bourne movies.

I watched it.  I did want to see it, and so did the wife, so we did.  But unless someone can point out a whole lot of stuff that I missed which somehow makes this a better movie, I have no reason to watch it again.

That's a tough call for an Arnie movie. :lol They're all quotable. Arnie hadn't mastered the one liner at that point though. I think he was still under the impression that he was supposed to act.
