just wondering, the gap in the waiting list is the people who can start whenever and the list below that is the waiting queue, right? so assuming none of the three people up top are starting their roulettes right away I'd be next?

...'cause I need to get my stuff together if that's the case haha  :lol

Yes. One of either myself, TAC, or Shadow Ninja needs to finish before it's your turn though.

well yes I know that much  :lol
considering there are four roulettes ongoing and one about to end I think I'm supposed to be waiting for two of the ongoing ones to end, though  :lol

But Obfuscation is ahead and probably going to finish first, which is why I said you have to wait for one of the other three. ;) Though of course if someone else does manage to finish before Obfuscation you will need to wait.

Looks like I'd start my roulette in a month or two max, but I feel I'll be busy then. Could you drop me a few places down? I want to run this in December  ;D

I'll keep you at the top of the list when your time comes, and then you can let me know when you'd like to slot in.

Just a reminder, as soon as TAC closes his out, I'm gonna start mine.  There's four on the go at the moment (discounting for Bolsters being in his final round) with the return of Obfuscation.  Are we going to run four at a time now, or keep it at 3?  I don't think there needs to be a hard-and-fast rule, just wondering.  Sometimes when certain Roulette's cater to different audiences (eg TAC vs Obfuscation are totally different) it's ok.  But it gets tiring if there are 3-4 similarly styled ones running at the same time - especially for those that want to participate in them.

Just opening up the discussion.

it's gonna stay three at a time, I think, Bolsters gave me the go-ahead because Obfuscation's ended and his is in the final round, leaving only two other ongoing ones

Roger.  I haven't been in Obs' thread, so I didn't know how close he was to wrapping it up.  So, two of the 5 are in their final, making it really only three that are truly active.

I'd not forgotten. After Obfuscation and myself are finished it'll be at three again, and TAC should be the first to finish of them, so everything should work out perfectly. The only problem I see (from your point of view) is that with Tom and Lucas choosing to delay, Brent would actually be starting his roulette at some point during yours. If you're absolutely dead set against participating and running at the same time, you might have to let him go ahead of you.

I think three works best, it's been discussed in the thread before if you're curious for the reasoning. Short version is, with four it appears to be more difficult for people to get participants, but with three there is no such problem. So I chose to keep it at three so that things run smoothly - it's easy for hosts to get players, and the players aren't stretched thin. There's only four running now because Obfuscation started back up and it was a special circumstance.

Agreed on the points about 3 vs 4.  I think we opened the idea up a while back when the 3 'active' ones (can't remember who) weren't so active.

As for me and Brent running at the same time, I'm don't want to push mine back any longer.  Guess we'll just have to be both organizer, and participant simultaneously.

I'll fire up my OP before the weekend.  Traveling next week on business again, then going to be gone most of the long weekend.  I suspect Round 1 will start just after Labour Day.

It's been a few years, my musical taste has changed quite a bit, and I think I can do a better job running it this time, so put me on that waiting list for a second roulette.

Okay, here goes..........*heavy breathing and sweating*

Put my name down for my first roulette.  Will at least need to hold off until February, maybe March but if the waiting list that long, it will work out good.  If it was March-April that would be even better.

On average, a roulette takes 2 months to run.  Your name might come up before Feb, but you can always put yourself on hold for when you are ready - as I did, and others are currently doing.

Oh, and more importantly....
