Indeed.  I don't think there is a Dream Theater fan in the universe that is not a little miffed that they skipped Orlando.

Perhaps they will come back thru the southeast and southwest on the next tour.  I am getting old, so hope to see them once in my lifetime.

Still only one show ever in New Zealand back in '09 (and I'm almost surprised that one even happened). I'd almost assume they must not have liked it very much to not bother coming back.  But it's most likely business reasons. Still, I think they've got a pretty solid following here and there are a lot of fans that would be incredibly psyched for them to return! Please come back to NZ one day DT!

G'day neighbour     I think you're right about business case - the fact that they didn't bother with Brisbane (a short flight away and I'd assume a bigger market than any NZ city) suggests that.   I hope they get to NZ for you soon.

I think Heart played NZ recently but didn't bother to stop in at Australia ,so there's that

You can't live in a place like Iowa and not expect a band that hasn't had a gold record in 25 years to play anywhere near there.

I know because I have never traveled less than 3 hours to see them (and most other bands I listen to) and I have seen them on almost every tour since SFAM

They haven't been to St. Louis since 2004.....so.....my sympathy will be hard to find.

They played here one time - in Asheville, on the Progressive Nation 2009 tour.  That's it.

Also, JP played in Chapel Hill once when he was on the G3 tour.

My wife and I attended the Asheville show; aside from the acoustics of the venue, I enjoyed it a great deal.  Zappa was a fun act as well.

My only regret was missing Scale the Summit; I've been a huge fan of their music since finding them and we missed their set by accident.

I also remember walking up the sidewalk to the venue and seeing a guy walking down the middle of the street (with traffic) singing a line from SFaM... Asheville is a fun place!

Well, since the only dates they've released are European summer dates, which are mostly festivals, they are in fact skipping the Southeast United States for now.

As well as the rest of the United States.
