Well, since we're dumping dates here, this is what's crossed my radar so far for when the 2015 release date thread comes around.

Jan. 12 – Beardfish - +2626-COMFORTZONE
Jan. 20 – Lupe Fiasco – Tetsuo And Youth
Jan. 20 – The Decemberists – What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World
Jan. 20 – Fall Out Boy – American Beauty/American Psycho
Feb 16 – Neal Morse Band – The Grand Experiment
Feb. 17 – Imagine Dragons – Smoke + Mirrors
Feb. 27 – Steven Wilson – Hand. Cannot. Erase.
Mar. 2 – Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds – Chasing Yesterday
Mar. 3 – Modest Mouse – Strangers To Ourselves
Mar. ?? – Glass Hammer – The Breaking Of The World
Apr. 15 - Apocalyptica – Shadowmaker

Hire me. I'm talentless but malleable.

For me I think 2015 will sweet for metal. The releases that I'm really excited for are:

Blind Guardian
Angra
Carach Angren
Kamelot
Moonsorrow?
Stratovarius (I hope!)
Testament
Symphony X
Rhapsody (well Luca Turilli's version and we supposed to have 2 new singles after Christmas)
Nightwish
Iron Maiden
Dimmu Borgir
Haken
Dream Theater
Kreator

Bring it on 2015!!  :metal

Hoping Grimes releases something in 2015, it was really sad to find out she scrapped her completed album because some d-bags sent her really negative, nasty stuff when she released the single Go.

I agree that I hope she releases something (because she is amazing), but sadly the reality today is that there is more hate than love on the Internet. If you're that sensitive about negative feedback then it might just not be the best career choice. It's awful that the reality is like that, but you kinda just have to stick to your own guns and trust your own instincts. The most negative people are always the most vocal ones for some reason.
Actually, she said that she scrapped the album way before that and that the media spun the story about the negative feedback. While she might be hurt by negative feedback, she would never scrap an album just because of it.

Don't try to BS her about Kevin Moore facts, she will obscure quote you in the face.

All I can think of that I'm really interested in at the moment is Toto, and Last In Line.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Noel Gallagher.
Therapy?
Possible Mastodon - they said they have enough material for an EP which "might" become a full length at the end of 2015

Metallica & Tool if they actually put anything out.

Green Day have hinted at activity in 2015 so them too.

And of course Dream Theater.

Finally - probably not 2015 by any stretch but Songs Of Experience by U2 whenever that finally comes out.

Finally someone mention Toto, thought I was the only one! No not really but the lack of acknowledgment of the upcoming album really disturbs me. I don't even....

There's been a bit of discussion about it over in the melodic rock thread, so I know there are at least a few of us. :tup

I don't think I've ever been as excited for an album as I was for Periphery's Juggernaut albums. It's not released until january 27th officially, but it's streaming now and it did not disappoint.

Other than that, I'm not really following a lot of bands. Sure, DT is working on new stuff, and Steven Wilson is releasing an album soon, which I will listen to. But I'm not terribly excited about either of those.

If Haken releases their fourth album this year, then that will probably the most anticipated of the year. And I know that TesseracT is currently writing, so maybe that'll be out this year.

Apparently Mark Kozelek is already halfway done with the follow-up to Benji, so I guess the new Sun Kil Moon just skyrocketed up my list.

Brand New, Haken, Wilson, David Maxim Micic and DT.

And although it has been released, I still have to check the new Subterranean Masquerade.

New Sufjan Stevens album is pretty high on my list.

And even though it's not a confirmed 2015 release, I'm really eager for Joanna Newsom's new album.

Now that a few more things have been confirmed, I'll make a more formal list:

All in March(!):
Steven Wilson - Hand. Cannot. Erase.
Nightwish - Endless Forms Most Beautiful
Death Cab for Cutie - Kintsugi

Others:
Coldplay - A Head Full of Dreams
Dream Theater 13
Haken 4?
And if spirit's a sign,
Then it's only a matter of time

Some expectations here, but most are officially announced (I only named the artists).

Hyped:
-Blind Guardian (still anticipating that one bonustrack, I already heard the rest and for me they delivered)
-Nightwish
-Arjen Lucassen & Anneke Giersbergen
-Symphony X
-Kamelot
-Ensiferum
-Dream Theater
-Seventh Wonder

Interested:
-Maiden United (cover album, I sometimes love them)
-Steven Wilson
-Faith No More
-Neal Morse
-Luca Turilli's Rhapsody
-Alice Cooper (cover album)
-Stone Sour (cover album)
-Volbeat
-Muse

If they are coming:
-Iron Maiden
-Wintersun
-Metallica

This should be an epic year for me (in film and games as well!).

I am now hoping this gal Tei Shi has a full length this year. Found her music through somebody else, as of now she only has an EP and some singles, but gosh darn I would love an album, this stuff is fantastic!
