Which "Octavarium" track do you favor over all of the others?

Octavarium ....looking at these tracks reminds me how long this album took to grow on me....
thank god my commute to work at the time was an hour each way! Plenty of time to listen to Octavarium over and over

Although it would be interesting to see which is every Octaratium (song) lover's second favorite song on the album, and which one would win.

I wouldn't call it cheating. but extremely unnecessary. Any DT fan knows that the title track is the most loved on this album. There's no doubt about that. It'd be better to gauge the second most loved song on the album. It makes for a far more interesting poll.

Someone else suggested in another one of these threads that it would've been more interesting had we been able to picked our two or three favorite tracks from each album, just so we can see which are the more popular ones based on more votes. That way, with an album like this, we could see that, yes, of course "Octavarium" would get a lot of votes, but what about people's 2nd and/or 3rd most favorite tracks? I like the title track a lot, but I also would've picked "Panic Attack" and "The Root Of All Evil" as well.

Maybe in a few months or next year, someone else can do these types of polls again here and we can vote for 2 or 3 songs instead of just one.

Come to think of it, I've grown to love Never Enough over time, too.

And my least favs, TALW and IWBY, are still great tracks.

Are you certain you're checking the right spot? I just went to one of my open polls on the Polls/Survivor board and clicked "Modify" at the top corner of my top post and can change the thread's Subject pretty easily. Don't like "EDIT POLL" under the poll itself, but where it says "Modify" at the top right of your original post of this thread. The first editable field should be the Subject. Hope that helps!

The bottom 3 are pretty much interchangeable, but the rest are set really.

My #1 from this album, and in my opinion one of the BEST things Dream Theater has EVER done is "The Root of All Evil."

Other than that I would MAYBE put "Sacrificed Sons" as being equal to or above the title track.

The comes "Octavarium" itself, of course.

Then "These Walls," and after it "Panic Attack."

The "Score" version of "The answer Lies Within" is so far and away SUPERIOR to this one that it doesn't even bear comparison.

The OTHER two songs I don't even like enough to consider them "filler!"

The song just hits me.  The atmosphere they create in the verse blends so well with the lyrics.
