I'm confident in giving it a 4/5 already, I'm really liking this.

Did you guys get the Police cover with yours?  I'm reading there's a lot of versions out there with it omitted.

Excelent album IMO! I listened to that version of Synchronicity (really cool, by the way) only on youtube. Here in Brazil the CD doesn't have it. :tdwn
Where did you buy yours?

Just an online Australian store that I get all my music from.  It seems weird how much it's omitted on other versions.

This album however is amazing and is still on repeat in my car, really good stuff.

Btw, I didn’t see Kiko Loureiro in the video, is he out? That would really suck.

Yeah, he pretty much is. :(  I don't know what, if any, input he had on the upcoming album.  I think Megadeth just takes up too much of his time.

I hope Secret Garden wasn't a fluke and this doesn't end up being another Aqua. Oh wait, Fabio is on vocals, so there's no chance of that. Hooray  :lol

Kiko officially quit Angra a while ago due to his Megadeth commitments.

I wasn't all that keen on that new song to be honest.  Secret Garden though was top 3 Angra, so I'm holding out hope.

I listened to it this morning (the song) and agree.

I find it hard to even relate this stuff to the brilliance of Angel's Cry etc.....

it's solid power/prog but that's about it for me.

I agree, Aqua was terrible, but I don't think that was entirely Edu's fault. I liked pretty much everything he did with the band up to that point (Temple of Shadows is my favorite of theirs). Then again he has been pretty bad in the recent Almah albums, so.....

Also I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Kiko didn't have any input on this album. If I remember correctly I think Marcelo Barbosa did most of the lead guitar work.

Man... I guess I should go back and try Angel's Cry again.  I was never too fussed about it.  Secret Garden is indeed top 3 material.  Fireworks and Rebirth are where it's at for me.

Yeah, seems to be from that video.  Funny he's playing in Angra if you ask me.  I wonder if he will still be able to be a member in Almah.  I think I remember reading years back when Edu left Angra that he wanted to cut all ties with Angra, including band members.

Maybe I'm totally wrong about Kiko officially leaving Angra.  Can't find anything from him and wiki still has him as a member.

This is the band photo on Encyclopedia Metallium though;

I can't even remember.   Checking my song ratings I really liked the last couple of tracks but found the rest just okay.

I'm a big fan of Angels Cry through Fireworks but have found the rest patchy.    Matos' vocals are obviously love/hate (I find his high pitched stuff a bit painful at times) but when they were rocking in that era the technicality and catchiness combined had me hooked and the unique South American vibe gave them something further that was unique.  Since Matos left I find them to be just a good band with a few really strong songs each album

I will revisit Rebirth based on Chad's comment but cannot remember enjoying it all that much , and I was a big fan at the time.

I really have to go back through most of their earlier stuff as I was more into the Edu stuff for some reason.  Aurora Consurgens was always a fav of mine.

Angels Cry, Holy Land, Fireworks were Andre Matos.

Rebirth, Temple of Shadows, Aurora Consurgens, and Aqua were Edu Falaschi.

Secret Garden and Omni are Fabio Lione.

Indeed.  :)  Aurora Consurgens is one of my favorites.  Aurora, Temple of Shadows, and Holy Land.  But I enjoy them all; I think Fireworks is probably my least favorite but it's still a pretty good album.  I like Aqua too.  Lease of Life is such an incredibly beautiful track.

I haven't listened to the new track much yet but am looking forward to the new album.

That’s a shame if true. Any Angra album is better than any Megadeth album from the last 20+ years imo.

As I said, it looks like I jumped the gun, can't find anything official either way, but seems like he has nothing to do with this new one from what we know so far.

Aqua is not that bad.  It's definitely not the best, but it's okay.

I'll give this a listen but while I love Fabio with Rhapsody he doesn't work for me with Angra.  I'm a Matos guy and Angra died for me when he left although there's some good stuff on Rebirth (Running Alone especially) and I like Temple of Shadows a fair amount.

I much prefer the Matos/Tollki collaboration of Symfonia than later Angra.

I love that whole CD, I wish they'd made more, but "Forevermore" is my favorite on that.  One of those one off CDs that comes from out of nowhere that's just great and then never heard from again.

Matos is one of my favorite singers but he needs a strong songwriter.  His solo stuff is fairly mediocre but I do like Shaman's debut "Ritual" along with the Symphonia.  I also love his stuff with Viper, the debut is solid and "Theater of Fate" may be my favorite CD of all time.  If not it's tied with others, there's nothing I like better.

It sounds like, "ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk." Instead of the more pleasing kick drum sound of, "gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk."

I am so hyped for this album. Fabio is one of my all time favorite singers and Secret Garden's songwriting was on a level Angra's never been at before. This better rock.

My thoughts exactly. Secret Garden is my favorite Angra album so far. I really like that they took a more prog direction with it as opposed to the more power metal sound of their previous albums.

Waiting anxiously for the new album. Count me as also being a fan of the more recent Angra's style!
Just to add, I've never seen any band document the creative process and open it to fans (while it's happening) like Angra did with this last album. Check this out:

Too bad this thing not to be subtitled in english, to be more acessible for all the fans in the world. But it is extremely cool nevertheless.

I agree that it's really cool - I too think they should add subtitles though. Angra has always been bad about that - at one point the English version of their website was about 15 months behind, they have so much video content without subtitles, etc.  And they have a pretty decent international following.
