Won't let them fill me with fatal lipstick lemonaid.

I've never understood that line, but I like it.

Yeah, it's not all b-line like, "Death is the first dancing turtle."

Lord forgive me: "Sex is right here on my Crucifix!"
I can't stop the world from turning around, or the pull of the moon on the tide, but I don't believe that we're in this alone, I believe we're along for the ride...

This really isn't one of my favs, but it always made me laugh.

"So I hurt your feelings well I'm really sorry, but I don't give a shit..." - Burning My Soul

Why would you be really sorry if you don't give a shit?  :lol

He's sorry that he doesn't give a shit. It's like saying, "I'm sorry... Sorry you're such a jerk!" That kind of thing. Only in this case more like, "I'm sorry... Sorry that I don't give a shit!"

How bout, "I don't give a shit that I'm sorry."  That actually makes more sense.

I've always assumed the "I'm really sorry" thing was sarcasm.

"Ohhh, I'm SOOO sorry I hurt your PRECIOUS little feelings!"  Followed immediately by a more sincere, "yeah, I don't give a shit."

Yeah. I'd use it in conversation, but I don't think I've ever seemed superhuman to anyone.  :lol

"As a child, I thought I could live without pain, without sorrow. As a man, I found it's all caught up with me."

This line is so true, too.

I'm finally starting to learn that things that I never thought would affect me as a child were actually things which ended up causing me so much pain when I grew up.

Have you heard the Boston Opera House version of AFTR? The way James says "shattered" is so awesome. He kinda tails it up at the end:

My favourite DT lyrics are definitely within the realms of Lines in the Sand, Misunderstood, Trial of Tears, and Illumination Theory.

"Living comes much easier once we admit we're dying"
"Sometimes your castles in the air and the mysteries you nurture are the crosses you bear"

"It challenges the essence of my soul, leaves me in a state of disconnection"
"If I seem superhuman I have been misunderstood"

"Take a look at yourself, not at anyone else, tell me what you see"
"Not within his eyes to see, open up, open up; not much better than the man you hate"

"Rebels for their freedom, a tyrant for the praise; Cowards for salvation, money, love and fame"
"Passion glows within your heart, like a furnace burning bright; until you struggle through the dark, you'll never know that you're alive..."

Creepy!

Certainly creepy enough to have prompted the Petruccis to GTFO.

If that stranger hadn't been there, the Petrucci's might have stayed meaning no car crash, meaning no ANTR, meaning no ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRR

I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Well, they suffered a traumatic experience, but sure, the song was worth it.

Have you ever been used or will this be the first time?

...preying on praise as you fed an attention addiction

Likely or not, it's a dream that we keep and at odds with our senses we'll climb
But if faith is the answer, we're already reached it
And if spirit's a sign then it's only a matter of time

In a dimly lit room with a stool as his stage...

Ludicrously speedy or infectious with the slow-mo

Damn, WDADU had some really great/deep lyrics. (I had to Google some of these lines as I'm unfamiliar with the album lyrically.)

I'm listening to "Light Fuse And Get Away" for the first time. I love it instrumentally and lyrically. I wish I didn't hate Charlie's voice so much, or this would be really awesome.

OAMOT has some fantastic lyrics, easily one of my favourite sets of lyrics of any DT song.

For a "one-liner", I have to go with this:

"And though the time will come when dream and day unite, tonight the only consolation causing him to fight is fearless faith in destiny."

Uh?

SAYS it right here on my Crucifix.

Something something... God it's Sunday do haaaaaiiiir

Okay, now for an actual line:
"Yeah Boston! Finally, we are here at the Boston Opera House! Beautiful venue, gorgeous. And uh I guess it comes as no surprise that we are... shooting, a DVD here this evening. As you can see, the fine, uh, friends with the cranes and uh, hopefully these guys don't drop the crane on my head. Well maybe, drop the crane on my head. If I screw up. But anyways we are here we're gonna shoota DVD this evening along with the fine establishment: Berklee. Music. College. We have an amazing evening planned for you so I'm gonna let it unfold as it should, without me giving you a play-by-play. And I don't like rambling anyways. Alright? So let's, continue on."
"I raised the baby, I changed the baby's diapers.  Whenever the baby had projectile diarrhea, I was there in the line of fire.  I even got a little in my mouth!  I sacrificed so much for my baby.  Now my baby hates me and thinks Mike Mangini is its real father!"

By the way, where's that "Do Hair" line from? I know it's a misheard... lyric? But it never clicked what lyrics specifically was misheard.

It's from Innocence Faded. It goes "condenscending, not intending TO EEEEEEEND" and this "to end" is essentially "do hair".  :lol
