Dream Theater is to music as Jesus Christ is to religion.

Thousands of years from now... people will still be listening to DT. Fact.

No where in ANY of the Gospels did Jesus EVER say "I am here to start a religion..."

Hey, I don't think DT ever planned to become a religion either right? So when they're getting worshiped 1000 years from now they might have more similarities to Jesus than you think. I mean by that point it will have been fully established that JP was obviously the second coming in disguise.

Yeah, nice reasoning and get why some of you all like it.  To be more accurate, it would have to be a qb who always did what was best for the team, paid his dues, won two super bowls in a row, and then immediately retired the NFL at age 27 to play the rest of his successful career in the CFL.
