The Thursday line-up announcements have begun today with Gloryhammer. Only just now checking them out and WOW, this might set the bar for cheesiness at a new high. Something to do with the invasion of undead unicorns :o

Musically it seems like pretty fun power metal though.

Stream of Passion for Wednesday night. Interesting to see a couple Arjen collaborators being lined up for next years fest. Not that it necessarily means anything...

Boom boom boom.  Love SoP.

Fuck Europe.  Seriously, I would die for 1/2 of these bands.

Hey... can a mod perhaps rename this to just the ProgPower Festival thread or something - instead of it being specific to PPUSA 2015?

Sure.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Easy choice for them I'm sure, as there will be some crossover members with The Gentle Storm.

I would have been much more excited for SoP 5 years ago. I actually think I failed to even pick up their last release.

Me either.  I Spotify'd it... but it was very samey to the 2nd and 3rd.  Considering I never saw them ever, I'm all over it now.

Finally for once Chad I can act all smug at a band I have seen 3 times and you haven't seen once.  ;D

So are you definitely going? Tickets on sale tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold out quick this year- might want to hop on it early. I think I'll buy my ticket tomorrow.

FYI, this past year people were selling tickets (to the sold out show) at below face value. I know that's not always the case, but don't expect to get triple or even double the value at any point.

Holy fuck... no shit!!!  Love this.... LOVE THIS!!!

Wednesday (September 7, 2016):

Lord (Australia)
Stream of Passion (Netherlands)
Spock's Beard (USA)
Slot #4 - TBA (headliner)

Thursday (Promoter's Pick Night) (September 8, 2016):

Gloryhammer (Switzerland & Scotland)
Circus Maximus (Norway)
Slot # 3 - TBA (headliner)

Oh the possibilities!  Possibly another Ted Leonard band, though his others aren't as 'big' as SB.  It's gotta be a Tier 1 prog name ... Threshold?  Avantasia?  DT themselves?  Redemption?  Kamelot?

Trying to think who hasn't been at PPUSA recently.
