So apparently Kevin Moore is in medical school?

I had no idea until I stumbled across this interview with Fates Warning.

The interviewer asks where Moore is right now and Alder says "He’s in America now; he’s going to be a doctor. He’s in his third year of medical school." This interview was taken last year, so I guess that means Moore is a 4th year med student.

Unless Alder was joking around?

I'd shit myself if I wound up in a hospital in Idaho (or wherever he was last seen in the US) and my doc was Keving Fucking Moore.


He'd make a great surgeon... He'd make damn sure nobody had to be opened up again...

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Yeah, we discussed this in the Chroma Key thread around the time that interview was posted. Someone even found a pic of him with his fellow students and posted it, but it's not there anymore.

Yup, yup, this was reported on a while back, here's the photo that went with it. I think it was in the KevMo thread...



Pretty cool stuff. Quite the talented man. I hope he gets back to music but...it seems like those days may be few and far between (if ever).
