It was about time. Half of the first song in, and it's pretty good.

It takes a bit of time to get used to his style, but it's a very, very rewarding process  :tup

Cool :tup Didn't know anyone else here knows them. I'm not really a fan but I know this album. Check band God Dethroned if you don't know them.

my current cycle:
julia holter - have you in my wilderness
this gets better with every listen, it's... really good aahhh
enslaved - axioma ethica odini
i think this is pretty good, dunno if i'll like it more than riitiir, a bit of a grower tho
swallow the sun - songs from the north ii
really easy album to like, just rather pretty stuff. not amazing or anything but
headspace - i am anonymous
so yeah this is definitely growing on me a lot, too. more emotionally potent than your average prog metal

Babymetal - Metal Resistance
Oceans of Slumber - Winter
Redemption - The art of loss
Headspace - All you fear is gone

From the ocean comes the notion that the realise lies in rhythm. The rhythm of vision is dancer, and when you dance you´re always on the one. From the looking comes to see, wondrous realise real eyes....

Didn't you come in like 6th or something? I get where you're coming from though, I feel like I did terrible in that roulette and I came in 3rd.

I don't know why but I've had a lot of agressive music in my rotation these last two days :lol I swear I'm happy

Hacride: My newest addition to the progressive deathmetal collection, this album has some of the best riffs I heard in quite some time, vocals remind me of Soilwork kinda.

Deftones: Favorite release of 2016 so far, no doubt. I thought it was just the 'freshness' of the album, but I heard it like 5 times now and it's still amazing front to back.

Trivium: Based on my love for Pull Harder On the Strings of Your Martyr I decided to get this album about a week ago, definitely worth it.

I'm not going to claim that this isn't one of the worst albums, because it is one of their worst albums. But it's really fun album IMO.

Not necessarily, but I thought it would be usual for people to kind of blow off steam with it or something, I'm never like that when I listen to this type of music. I just thought it was funny that the 3 albums I was listening to were all some of the most brutal stuff in my entire collection (give or take Gore, that's not all that agressive apart from a few tracks). As a matter of fact, a very uplifting sounding record is spinning as we speak (Foals - Holy Fire)
