was worried this wouldn't be able to live up to their past two, especially since straightforward prog metal hasn't been my thing as much as of late, but
i think it's a grower but i still enjoyed it a fair bit on first listen

if any album is going to be the black sheep of the four i got in this order though i expect it to be this one

definitely, all four of the albums i got have great covers. ne obliviscaris is probably the worst and i still like it a fair bit.

Dunno why I waited so long for listening to this, it's pretty good - Gilmour is definitely the standout here. And High Hopes is a beautiful track

Wow, this is excellent. Not fantastic as Mezzanine, but definitely better than Blue Lines and Heligoland. Very, very atmospheric, and dark.

ordered the physical copy of this through bandcamp, spacey black met/dark ambient... listening to the digital version though because i just love this album
it's... so good. i doubt i'll find any other black metal album i like more than this one.
