And finally finished Song of Susannah, which was great! I don't really know why people think low of this book, it had great action, lots of lore and twists excellent scenes as usual.

For me personally, i took issue with DT6 the first time through because of the author's presence in the novel.  On the 2nd read, though, it didn't bother me at all. It's ranked in the middle for me, just slightly better than DT3 and slightly worse than DT7.

Yeah, figured that'd be the case, it bothered me a bit at first but then ended up getting used to it and even liking it - felt more real than just having any random author on it. I think King has said he'd like to go back to it and remove himself from the story, kinda like how he revised the first books some years ago.

Btw, anybody know if there will be hardcover reissues of the series? I'd really like to get my hands on one, there are a few rare spanish ones but would definitely prefer them in their original language.

I couldn't get into Kraken. I may try again some time in the future

Anyway, years ago I read Shogun by James Clavell, which I liked, so now, I'm going to give the next book Tai-Pan a go

Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler

This was excellent. I would recommend for anyone who likes young adult/post apocalyptic genres.

Then I read Man in the High Castle. I'm not sure I get it all... but I still enjoyed it.

Finished Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch, liked it, but still thought it was the weakest out of three. Now to wait for The Thorn of Emberlain with everyone else.

Started Blood Song by Anthony Ryan during my vacation, I'm on the last quarter of the book and not really enjoying it anymore (I kinda liked the beginning but then it became less and less interesting), but hey, I've got this far and I'm determined to finish it.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Finished Blood Song by Anthony Ryan. Meh, don't see why it had such a good rating on goodreads. Not going to continue with the series.

Now reading Since We Fell by Dennis Lehane.

After having read three Brad Thor novels, i can safely conclude the guy's  a racist.  He does, however, write a good thriller.

Started with the manga Pluto by Naoki Urasawa yesterday, and holy shit it's amazing so far. Deep, emotional, and beautifully drawn. Pretty bleak and interesting thriller too.

First read on this series. It was recommended to me by my physio therapist, and so far I'm really enjoying them.

Enjoy! I've read the entire series a few times. In a few books it really gets good. Harry Dresden cracks me up.

I thought reading a haunted house book that was being compared to House of Leaves would have made for fun reading. It wasn't. Thankfully, it was really short

If you haven't read anything else by him, stop after this book. I enjoyed Angels and Demons a lot, but it is all downhill from there.

Actually this is a re-read, I've read it around the time when it was first published. I still remember the plot and the twist at the end but have forgotten everything in between. Same goes for DaVinci Code.

Continuing with the mystery vibe (it's March Mystery Madness on Booktube), reading something a bit more classical: The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco
